Is paranormal considered fantasy?

What the title says.  I'm just curious to get everyone's view on it.  Would paranormal fiction (ghost, werewolves, etc) be considered to be like a subgenre of Fantasy or a genre all on it's own?  I've seen people call it both ways.

In my opinion, Paranormal is its own genre. Some things can be considered both, like magic, but for the most part, I see it as a standalone.

I'd call Paranormal it's own sub-set of Fantasy.  But it is six of one or half-dozen of the other.

I've always seen it as a subset. Lately there is a lot of bleed over from one set to another. Nothing is black and white anymore, which is a good thing for the most part.

I think you need a Venn diagram to make that call....

You still around Lugh? I'm glad, it's good to see you having more time to spend on here.
