I like to smush genres together and see what happens.

I do this with my novel The Company, but I'm very subtle about it. It looks like the typical gay period romance, but there are clues here and there. You don't get the real picture until well into the novel. You won't get zombies or vampires, but there's magic everywhere.

What happens when the curtains are drawn, and you can see past all the lies and deceptions? Especially the ones we tell ourselves.
