Popular Post Mikiesboy Posted May 26, 2023 Author Popular Post Posted May 26, 2023 i am not currently smiling much as i had a tooth pulled. It was already a bad re-capped, held together with rebar tooth that had to go. There was just no more repairing it.. so yeah. i do not look cute or wonderful with this extra hole in my smile. lol However, it's healing up well and i go back in a month to see if i am a candidate for a Maryland bridge, which is my preferred option. Fingers crossed. In other news, things are quiet around here. Michael is finishing up school in the next month and then looking for a job. He has several places who are interested and there are interviews set up. So that's cool. Hope all of you are doing well. 7 1

Fae Briona Posted May 28, 2023 Posted May 28, 2023 SP and I both have Monday off, then we took the rest of the week off as well. I (and he) have way too much to get done to really take a full week off, but I'm doing it anyway -- because the alternative is snapping, loosing my 💩, and going off on someone. Too long without a break and way too stressful. Won't be doing too much exciting -- we'll be cleaning out SP's old house to prep it for remodeling so it can be rented. 1 3

chris191070 Posted June 2, 2023 Posted June 2, 2023 Hope Everyone is well. 4am here in the UK and I'm wide awake, which isn't good. Having spent 3hrs at a job interview yesterday, I've been invited back today for a further interview ( with a plan on how I would improve the kitchen ) and a decision on whether I get the job. It's for a promotion within the company I work for (better hrs and more money💰). Keep safe All Chris 4

Popular Post Kitt Posted June 3, 2023 Popular Post Posted June 3, 2023 (edited) Why do I play by the rules? I noticed really uneven tire wear on my front tires, backs still look new. Call my local tire dealer where I bought these less than a year ago, looking for 2 new ( no I am not making a warranty claim, I recognize a front end issue when I see it). The twit on the phone keeps telling me the tire size I am giving him makes no sense, he can't help me if I will not give him the right set of numbers. I admit I lost it and went karen on him. Told him I would be at the shop in 10 minutes, and he can come out of his climate controlled office and look for himself. Get to the shop, and a different guy is behind the counter. I explain to him what I was told and give him what I believe is the correct tire size. He said makes perfect sense, but he doesn't have them in stock. Would be 2 days to get them in. As a stop gap measure we put the good ones up front and the decent worn one on the drive wheel, the maypop on the other side back. Ordered the new tires, and made an apointment to have the front end repaired and the 2 new tires mounted. $2000 worth of work yesterday, hubby picks up the truck w/ Wings and I look out the window to see the maypop still on the truck. When I told them the 2 new up front, they recycled the 2 (good ) that were up front instead of the 2 badly worn ones. Call them. They say they pulled the 2 good tires from the recycle pile. Today hubby calls to confirm remounting them. Asks will they have time. Out comes karen again, I shout loud enough for the idiot on the other end to hear. " It's not will they. It's they will! You don't recycle 2 good tires leaving bad ones on the truck and expect me to buy 2 more when I notice the same bald tire there later! " Hubby is grinning like a fool when he hangs up and says they are waiting for us. Edited June 3, 2023 by Kitt 6

Popular Post mollyhousemouse Posted June 6, 2023 Popular Post Posted June 6, 2023 a couple of takeaways from the last several days do the hard things, yes they are hard, but they have rewards when you do the right thing, it'll work out. when someone says something hurtful, don't react, wait for the emotion to settle you know your manager is a good one when they say, "If that person messages, calls, emails, I don't care what I'm doing, you bring your laptop to my office. YOU did nothing wrong." simple things can bring a lot of joy don't make @Kitt mad, lol! i hope you are all well 7
