I just called the Bank's HR services ... have to deal with moving registered funds out of the profit sharing ... i have until February something next year, but it's in my head, and i don't like it. So, i called.  Why is nothing ever simple? I could just sell the shares and take the tax hit but i suppose i should move the funds into an RRSP. Anyway, the guy was helpful, but i need to think about it and make a note of my questions on how to do this stuff.  Argh.

That kind of stuff always makes my head spin. I never got along with numbers in any form. Give me words any day. Good luck figuring it out. At least you have some time to explore your options.

On a happy note, I gave both dogs an overdue bath yesterday. No more stinky dogs. Yay!

I hope everyone has a good week!

image.png.3e5f6fc26d74b9c0346ea58a4c3299cc.png  This one is true, if you can learn to do it.  i can sometimes, it's easier now that i don't have to worry about other obligations so much. If you can listen to what your body is telling you ... 'pushing through, toughing it out' etc. isn't always the smartest thing to do. Sometimes you gotta just lay down, be quiet and rest.  Eat as well as you can.

Hope you're all doing okay. Happy Wednesday!

Hang in there.

We got some news today that we're trying to process and not worry over too much, but for me it's proving extremely difficult. Earlier this week my husband noticed one of his pupils was smaller than the other and it didn't go back to normal after a day or so. He called his eye doctor today because with his macular degeneration any change has to be checked out.

Well, he now has an appointment on Monday for 4 hours of testing with a neuro-opthalmologist.

I don't suggest Googling any of it. I'm going to be a wreck until Monday.

i'm sorry to hear this ... you're doing all you can. i can understand why it's hard. Sending much love and best wishes to you both.

Ask the Universe for what you want ... forget Google. They don't love you.

This showed up today ... appropriate given what @kbois and her husband are now going through. Medical gaslighting and how to get your doctor and others to hear you.  Food for thought.

Hubs has lucked out with his eye doctor. He's taking this very seriously. The specialist he's been referred to is one of the best in our area.

It's the waiting that sucks.

Yeah, waiting is hard. Glad the eye doctor is good.  It's nice when your Doc gets you.

I'm sorry you're both dealing with this stress. Good on him for noticing, and on you both for taking action as soon as you could. And ... yeah, the internet is a scary place to diagnose any sort of health issue.

It must be scary for him, but having you beside him helps. You're a good partner.

My best wishes to you both, kbois.

This one couldn't have been timed any better.

Just got into work after hubs appointment this morning. He has Horner's Syndrome which by itself shouldn't be an issue. However, it could be the result of a bunch of other things so he has to go for an MRI to rule out something I can't pronounce or spell but boils down to being a type of inflammatory arthritis that attacks your arteries that the doctor is worried about.

It figures... if there's something that's rare and has a multitude of possible causes, my husband is going to check that box off.

Back into a holding pattern we go.

Does anyone know if covid vaccines are cultured in egg albumin like flu shots are?  We have started the annual arguments in which each of my doctors and the pharmacy start pestering me to get the shots, and I remind them I am allergic to eggs, and cannot do the flu shot. I see this year they actually put a reminder in the commercials that people with egg allergies should NOT recieve the shot. And until SOMEONE can confirm covid is not cultured in albumin, I am not going to risk the reaction. They all say they will look into it, then I hear nothing till the next " I see you have not gotten your flu shot yet" reminder, when the dance repeats.

I'm not sure how reliable this is but it may help. I also don't know how any physician or pharmacist could NOT know whether or not a vaccine was allergy safe. That's ridiculous.

The pharmacist doesn't know that?  wow.   You could try your local public health unit.

These things seem to drop into your inbox so you can post them just when I really need to see them. It's hard though when something you don't like is intrinsically woven into your partner's life and is in your face all the time. But I'm trying.

Have a good day everyone.
