Popular Post Kitt Posted December 11, 2023 Popular Post Posted December 11, 2023 Does anyone else want to strangle a doc at the end of a regular ( nothing is wrong we just want to keep tabs) apointment? "Your A1c is down, great. Let's back off a level on your injectable and see if we can maintain it and reduce the gastrointestinal issues. Your cholesterol is perfect! No changes in your meds. You have lost 15 pounds since last visit. GREAT! YOU SHOULD CONCIDER BARRIATRIC SURGERY! Umm, excuse me? 15 down isn't good enough?? This is the smallest I have been at any time since my kid was born 33 years ago, including during chemotherapy! No surgery. Fix the belly issues first then if I stop losing MAYBE we will talk. 2 5
Kitt Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 Ok, rant over. I now return you to your regularly scheduled programing. 5

Honestly, you put a smile on my face today. Been through the same thing only it was blood pressure that was under control. Lost 75lbs, gained back 40. Been through 3 different drugs for weight loss, all with crappy side effects. I really don't want surgery, but maybe... we'll see how the next few months go. 4 1

Popular Post kbois Posted December 21, 2023 Popular Post Posted December 21, 2023 Why is it that the only time a physical ailment flares up out of the blue, is right before you have a trip planned??? We have roughly 21-22 hours of being in the car ahead of us starting at 4am tomorrow and even though I just got shots in the hip and both knees a month ago, my hip bursitis has decided to start screaming at me. Erghh. I don't even want to think about the string of profanities that shall pass over my vocal cords if anyone aggravates me while I'm driving. I get a tad cranky when my joints hurt. I will keep my ibuprofen handy and hope for the best. 4 4
