She told me another thing, though, which is that she's gonna send her dog to her mum for a while.

I hope that relieves some of the tension in the flat.

Also. Not to be overly critical, but your deal with the sounds of daily living being "too noisy" may be how she feels about some clutter being "too messy". Just something to think on.

good morning DiC Sirs & friends 👋

sitting in the semi-darkness listening to distant thunder, and quiet doggie snores

@dughlas have a good time in PA. say hello to Mum & hug Thistle

@Thorn Wilde good to have gotten some of that out with your flatmate, hopefully her mom can help the pup

@Kitt it is good to get the work done early & your NYE sounds perfect!

@Starrynight22 hello! how's that adorable kitten?

It’s not just the sounds of daily living, though. It’s never quiet when she’s up. She’s always, always watching something on YouTube or something, and if she’s not she’s listening to music. And if I ask her to wear a headset for a bit she acts offended. Sounds of daily living I can deal with. I just don’t understand how someone can want sounds all the time and never want it quiet. I do make an effort. I just wish she’d make an effort back. Still, it’ll be easier to deal with constant YouTube videos when there’s no dog also being noisy. Additionally, I’m basically having to play shrink for her every time she’s struggling with her PTSD, and I’m mentally ill as well, you know? She blames all her shortcomings on that, but when I say that I’m currently depressed she says, well, I can do it when I’m depressed so you can too. Which is bullshit, because different people have different limits, and what’s easy for one person can be a serious hurdle for someone else. It’s not comparable. I guess we’re just not very compatible as flatmates... thankfully she’s planning on moving out in a few months. If she doesn’t fully commit to that in the next couple of months I’m just gonna tell her she has to. I lived here first and nearly all the furniture here is mine.

Sorry for ranting.

I understand the quiet thing. Michael can have the stereo on and then be listening to a video or something on his computer. I can't handle that ... its too much. He's used to it but He doesnt mind if i ask if the stereo can be turned off or down while he watches... so yeah we all have things we can handle. I dont think asking for headphones is a big deal ... to be honest. It's just a consideration for the other member of the house.

Hello!  She is good! A bit more skittish now, because little one chases her pretty much all day.  He stops when reminded but can't manage to not do it when he sees her. It's not malicious, he just wants to be next to her and pet her, but like a typical 3 year old he has no quiet or subtle movements.

The Gym up the street has a once a month free Sunday for the community. I've been taking my fat ass up there, and using the machines, the past couple of months, and walking. I think, I'm going to head to the gym, and beat on the heavy bag for a while.

And yes, the heavy bag, the rowing machine, and some of the others do aggravate the hands. Right now, not caring.
