Thorn Wilde Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Morning, everyone! It's our last day here at the cabin. We leave early tomorrow morning for the two day journey home. It's been nice, wish I could stay longer. Hope you all have a good day! ❤️ 3
Fae Briona Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Awake early this morning - hurting too much to sleep. Was home all day yesterday too. We're having unusually weather for mid-Summer -- strong thunderstorms with high winds and hail. Something we'd normally see in May, not late July / early August. Under a flood watch at the moment. Thankfully, we've missed all the hail (so far). 2 1

Since Porto Rico is a territory of the U.S., do you, as an American, need a passport to travel there? Edit: I was curious, so I checked, and no, you don’t, but I would. Yeah I wouldn't need a pasport to go there, Guam, or the U.S. virgin islands. But Puerto Rico is closest. And they have direct flights from my city 5

Good luck on the writing! I sent the first chapter of a Christmas story out for editing this morning. It's now time to get serious about writing what I want to post Jan 2020. Had some mixed reactions to the opening section I shared with a couple of people, so I need to figure out where I'm going. 6

Hopefully they are like the constant rain/thunderstorm warnings we get daily... and nothing will happen. Out of the last 3 weeks of warnings, it rained once in the morning i think. 6

Thunderstorm later here too, but I want to get out for a bit. Happy writing. 7

The only thing they’ve got right so far are the heat warnings. 3 1 1

The usual summer pattern in South Florida used to be hot and humid morning that built up clouds in the Everglades and dumped rain on us in the afternoons. You could set your watch by those 3pm showers. These days, climate change has us all messed up. The last few days it was overnight and morning rains but this weekend we're back to normal. 7
Carlos Hazday Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Hey, did anyone notice the two TOP STORIES this morning? @AC Benus translated poetry and a kids' story. How about that for diversity and inclusivity? 4 1

Have managed to miss all of the hail -- that went just to the East -- and if we had really high winds I didn't notice. 3
