So evocative... beautifully captured, Marty! I was in my woods today, and saw a hornets nest, a birds nest, and a big clump of what looked like leaves, quite large and quite high up that a squirrel was hanging around... all while I stood in one spot. Even though it looks bleak, there are reminders it is till home to some, and will be home again for others. That helps me deal with the darkness.

Mom wanted to look at the couches. 10 minutes in and it was clear there was nothing for us but too late! We were trap in the Nordic evil maze for an hour and a half! We end up with 4 plates for my brother (he had only bought 4 individual ones instead of buying a whole set directly ) and rolls of sticky papers for clothes.

There were cute little pin trees, they were so adorable but mom was like duh you've got enough plants at your apartment and it's going to get big and NO WAY you are putting a pin tree in our garden when it'll happen. Dad was already at the check out Now I want a mini pin tree  *pouts* Maybe I can convince them to stop at the nursery shop before going home

Have the washing machine on, but will probably finish up having to dry the clothes indoors.

Well it's now well into Monday, so hopefully your long weekend in Ikea is coming to an end...

(I've never been to Ikea, but some of my friends have told me that they could spend a whole day in it. I don't think any of them have ever spent a whole weekend in it, though. Not even a short weekend. )

it's a long weekend cause today is a holiday with it being 11/11 and the WW1 celebrations. One afternoon was enough for me but I can see how one could spend a day there. The first part is upstairs with the "shows": the furnitures are stages like a room or tiny apartments. It's like a maze, a trap, you have a path to follow with arrows on the floor. There is not was to cut through the decors! Once you've reach the end you access the pick it yourself zone were everything you've seen before is (cushions, dishes, tables...) and for you to put in your cart. Once again it path is map, there are not alleys. After all this you always get out with some shits you probably don't need but the way it's display kinda make you end up buying something.
