BabyXander1990 Posted November 11, 2019 Posted November 11, 2019 Dennis went to work for a few hours. Me going to do some writing and just doing some laundry. With the exception of Kipp and Jordan, the others are up doing some schoolwork and having Orange Juice and bacon, egg and cheese sandwich! 3 1

One afternoon was enough for me but I can see how one could spend a day there. The first part is upstairs with the "shows": the furnitures are stages like a room or tiny apartments. It's like a maze, a trap, you have a path to follow with arrows on the floor. There is not was to cut through the decors! Once you've reach the end you access the pick it yourself zone were everything you've seen before is (cushions, dishes, tables...) and for you to put in your cart. Once again it path is map, there are not alleys. After all this you always get out with some shits you probably don't need but the way it's display kinda make you end up buying something. When we go to IKEA, we buy some food there!! Loganberry jam is good!!! 2

It sounds almost like the setting for some sort of fantasy or horror story... Trapped inside an Ikea store... following the footsteps painted on the floor... never seeming to be able to find a way out... occasional glimpses of exit doors... but every time you move towards one the display stands move together to block your escape... sinister low voice coming over the tannoy speakers... speaking your name... saying you must buy something... or you will be trapped forever... nothing on display even looks worth purchasing... desperately reaching for your phone to call for help... but you have no signal... hours pass (or has it been days?)... you suddenly realise that you've already been down the aisle you are walking along now... trapped in a time loop... or a nightmare... wondering if it is all just a dream... and wondering whether you will ever wake up... (I've never been to Ikea, but some of my friends have told me that they could spend a whole day in it. I don't think any of them have ever spent a whole weekend in it, though. Not even a short weekend. ) The nearest Ikea to me is in Canada. I've never been in one, but know people who rave about them. 6

The snow has already started here. The high temp for today is 32 and the low tonight 21. Tomorrow we're only supposed to reach 23 with a low of 12. Which will shatter the previous record. Snow accumulation through tomorrow morning will likely approach the 10" mark. Thankfully the worst of it is supposed to arrive late afternoon/evening, so hopefully after I get home from work. 6

Popular Post dughlas Posted November 11, 2019 Popular Post Posted November 11, 2019 (edited) So this morning I cleared away all the frost killed flowers and foliage and added them to the compost bin. Then I ran the lawnmower over the lawn to crop the grass down for winter. Since I have a mower that mulches I was able to chop the fallen leaves in with the grass clippings. No need to rake them. The outside of the house is prepped for winter. Edited November 11, 2019 by dughlas 2 5
