Thanks y'all. It's been a dreary rainy day but mum, the pup and I ran some errands to get a few things together to take back with us. We'll be back on the road by late morning. Before that though we're having dinner this evening with my son and daughter-in-law.

At least 19 people have died, dozens are missing and more than 1,400 homes have been lost in the country's wildfires, which have been burning since October.

G'day y'all. Both Mum and I, Thistle too are a bit worn out as a result of our hectic visit so we decided to extend our stay here in my home area a day. Gives us a chance to relax a bit and while the weather becomes chiller overnight it is forecast to clear as well. That would make travelling a bit more pleasant.

We enjoyed a very nice dinner with my youngins last evening.
