So I decided to go grocery shopping this morning.    I usually go shopping every Sat am at 7-7:30ish.  Today, I went at 6:30, figuring it would be a bit more crowded.  Well.. holy crap was I right, but I didn't figure on how right I was.  The parking lot was full.  Every register was open and every line was to the back of the store.  They were low/sold out of a lot of things, despite restocking overnight.  They opened at 6:00 am.  I managed to snag a little bit of meat and most of what was on my list though.  I even got toilet paper   I got one six pack, and it was one of the last ones there.   Hey don't judge me..  I needed it   I waited in the checkout line for a little over an hour.  Everyone was nice and polite, even if some jerk said "Excuse me, sir."    I know I'm a bit of a tomboy, but I think my gender is pretty clear!   I seriously hope this shopping frenzy dies down soon.  OMG.  

That sounds frustrating.  I often stop by the grocery to just pick up whatever I need for the next day or so, I usually don't stock up on stuff.  I'm trying not to start just because people are panicking.

It's probably a good idea to stock up in case you find the stores empty.  I would say I have enough to last a couple of weeks, but I usually like to stop at the store for things like fresh veggies.  I'm not waiting in line for an hour for just a few items though.  Now that we have confirmed cases in our area, I'm expecting things to get worse before they get better.

I don't eat a lot of canned stuff, like you I prefer fresh veggies and fruits.  I'll probably stock up on pasta, rice and beans though.

Things are going to be so quiet here. Starting Sunday 3/15 00h00 all non essential places are to be closed. The only places allowed to be open are grocery stores, pharmacies, bakeries and butcheries and post offices. In addition to medical places of course.

But I'll focus on the garden and stay positive. The upcoming week will be beautiful with nice temps around 15°C. I'll sow tomatoes, clean and start organizing the garden. Yesterday dad and I bought a Camelia and some kind of maple tree we have to plant in the front lawn and there are more pine barks to put

The snow is disappearing here... the ground is a welcome sight.   Happy gardening, Tink.

Currently staying with a sister in England for a week. Possibility I may be told to self-isolate when I return home to Ireland next Sunday. And that wouldn't be a problem, if it does happen. Can get on with the gardening and house improvements. And there's a grocery shop right next door.
