Okay, it's all arranged... my vet is staying clear of people... she's older than me by a couple of years... paid by Visa over the phone, and my daughter is picking it up tonight at the vet's back door. She says it will be safe there. She asked for Cookie's weight, and when I told her there was silence. I asked if that was too much, and she said it depends... that she's matured to her full size now, and BC females can often be 45 pounds. Warned me not to let her go past 45 lbs, though, and brought up Mallory's weight battle.  . Anyway, getting her protection is a relief.

I think I last had a beer two maybe three years ago at one of the brewpubs here in SC. I'm certain it was a very good brew but I still have not developed a taste for the stuff. Now, give me a chilled pint of cider or perry 😋

Sources I checked list 27-42lbs for female border collies. When you pet her can you still easily feel her ribs? If so her weight is likely fine.

Its been an intense day today. I had a call from the guy that runs my float studio. He said they were closing as of midnight and no one knows when they will open again. Poor guy sounded depressed. 
 

On the plus side, Dad is eating more (still not enough) and he did like the KitKats I bought in for him. No visit today but I will ring him to check on him.

Hopefully the sun will appear on you. It's nice enough here that I traded my low boots and jeans for sneakers and mid calves jeans with a light cotton sweater and a fleece jacket. 

Yesterday afternoon I saw bees in the pear trees flowers. Spring is definitely here
