I hope you had a wonderful Easter, yesterday. On 4/12/2020 at 4:58 PM, Page Scrawler said: Hey, Drew! Happy Easter! Are you doing anything special today? Hey Pagey! My one year old nephew made my day yesterday. My family was having dinner, when my sister and her family arrived. Well, the dinner table wasn't able to accommodate all of us, so it was pretty crowded, and my nephew was sitting right beside me. So, to make more room for everyone, I decided to remove my plate and sat at the kitchen island instead. Well, when I did so, my nephew gave me an accusatory look, because he thought I had stolen his food. On 4/12/2020 at 5:13 PM, Marty said: Hi, Drew Hi Marty! 19 hours ago, Headstall said: Hey, Drew! Not when we've gone through so much. Hey Gary I had the same thought. A month seems so far away yet i can't help thinking that despite the lockdown being difficult - mentally and economically for the countries - at least we are safe in our houses and that being free we might not be. Though having a date is somehow reassuring, like a light at the end of the tunnel. I know my dad is happy to go back to work. Good thing the weather is nice so he can do some work here and there in the house and garden and he has start some reduce models to keep him busy. As for me, we should hear from the college this week or the next about exams. All we know is that legally they have to give us the dates at least 2 weeks before it begins. Maybe they'll organize them in June? Maybe early September? 🤷🏻♀️ I hope it'll be the later cause I don't have my laptop with my notes with me here... Stay safe all 1 6

Mind you, the article starts as follows: "This Valentine's Day forget about the chocolates, the candies, and all the other sweet treats. Try serving your loved ones breakfast in bed instead!" Are you trying to tell me something, Page? 1 5

Not sure... Seems expensive. Seems heavy at just over 2 pounds (almost a kilogramme). Seems there is so much that could break on it. Seems more of a gimmick than a gadget to me. And even the review says that the battery capacity is not enough to recharge a modern smartphone. I do like the wood burning camp stoves though. There's some lesbian friends of mine have a very old one that is so easy to use, and extremely efficient, boiling a fell kettle of water in under ten minutes. Must ask them sometime where they got it from. And, knowing them, they'll probably tell me it's home made. Edited April 14, 2020 by Marty 1 5
Popular Post Marty Posted April 14, 2020 Popular Post Posted April 14, 2020 Now I'm not really complaining about the good weather we're experiencing here in the northwest of Ireland just at the moment. After all, we're more used to rainy days that dry ones, so it could turn out that we are actually having our summer in spring this year. That happens far too often in Ireland; a warm settled spell for a couple of weeks early in the season, and then the rain comes back and basically stays for the rest of the summer. It's due to the warm Gulf Stream that flows down the western Atlantic coast, apparently. Today isn't really all that warm, with temperatures only getting up to around 14°C (57.2°F). But there's been virtually no clouds, and only a very slight breeze, making it seem like a real summer's day. That's probably why the following song kept running through my head as I have been working in the garden all day... 6
