But I do admit to having some books in my house (as I've yet not got round to putting up shelves since I moved in, I can't say on my bookshelves) and on my Kindle, that I haven't yet got round to reading. I struggle with reading and television shows. The only thing I seem to be able to do for long periods is write, and even that is hard some days. I have the attention span of a gnat. 2 6

Actually champange is double fermented. The initial fermentation before aging and then again when a small amount of yeast is introduced at bottling. Hence the bubbles and the reason I can not drink champagne without developing a migraine. 6 1

It's not going to be real real champagne, more like a sparkling strawberry wine. But definitely easy to make. Or so it sounds like it 4 2

Popular Post Headstall Posted August 23, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 23, 2020 My life in a nutshell. Over the last few days, I've lost a bunch of cats... which freaked me out... it was pretty much all at once. A black mother cat got killed on the road a week ago, but the rest just up and disappeared. Two small kittens, one of which appeared to love me... he would let me pick him up, and kept getting under my feet. It's been three days now. Four older kittens disappeared at the same time. One came back yesterday, and two came back this evening. That was a relief. But one is still missing... as well as a light grey female, a mixed white male, and a tabby and white female. All at the same time! I think something is getting them and the cats went into hiding. Likely a coyote, but could be anything. Falkor and his buddy are fine, and so is a pregnant female, but they all sleep on the back veranda most of the day and night. Well, the mother cat just started doing that. So that's my life... I'm that old crazy guy who frets about his cats... 1 1 1 1 4

And it's normal for you to fret about them, you care, you have a heart and those little bundle of fur have a way to snick their way to our heart whether we want it or not 1 6
Popular Post Marty Posted August 23, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 23, 2020 A few hours before sunset this evening I decided to take a stroll up to the wind turbines on the mountain near me. Here's a view back before I reached the summit plateau: That's the northern end of Lough Allen, which is the first big lake on the River Shannon. At a total length of 361 km (224 miles), the River Shannon is the longest river in the whole of both Ireland and Britain. 7
