I'm spending the evening with the cats too, but we're not having anything as fancy as fois gras   I'll make a pork steak with veggie fries and fall asleep while the ball drop is on the tv in the background.  Fun times

The fois gras is just a slice leftover from Christmas. Our oldest cat loves it, she approves of this nice pâté worthy of her

I'll be alone on the couch or in bed before the ball drops. My son and his girlfriend can't come upstairs until they've been tested and cleared. Cookie is staying downstairs with them too.

Hello Gary. I think almost everyone is going to be exposed to this variant sooner or later. In the UK it is replacing the common cold.

I know several people over here who have it and many more who have been exposed. The good news is, none of them have been ill, other than cold-like symptoms, including a ninety-two-year-old relative who has only had one shot of the vaccine.

I wish you well and obviously hope you avoid it, but unfortunately you can't avoid the quarantine.

Happy New Year anyway buddy and to everyone else on here. I hope in 2022 we are able to return to a better way of life, and get close again to people we love and care about without fear of harming each other.

Awww geez. I'll hope things go as well for you as for my Aunt's family. They were all exposed via her grandson's wife. Everyone but the grandson and his wife tested negative.
