Hi gang  I see you're all playing couch potatoes binge watching series

I spent last evening and today at a friend's parent's house. Her mom made me thing a lot of my own mother. We met in class in September. She came to me and pretty much adopted me. Usually I'm kinda friendly as a bear at first sight  but her bubbly personality just took me along for the ride.

It's only 18°C and we had rain on and off all day long. But looks like the garden is enjoying it cause we have little green beans already and the melon got twice bigger in the span of a week!

My kids told me "Obi Wan Kenobi" sucked, so I haven't watched it yet. I really enjoyed "The Mandalorian" and "The Book of Boba Fet, though."

I have Amazon, Netflix, and Disney... and satellite TV.

Honestly it's not that far off for me regarding Netflix.  There's been some gems the last year or so, some of the ones mentioned here.  But once you watch all that programming you kinda end up back at square one with nothing interesting to watch.  And they keep raising the price for a streaming service.  But... I'm still paying at this point.

Did you ever watch Justified Gary?  It's probably one of my top 5 tv shows of the last decade.  If you ever watched Deadwood has some of the same people showing up in it.  Timothy Olyphant was amazing in it.  

I need to rewatch that.

Ummmm… no Netflix, no Amazon, no nothing…. Not quite true I got Apple TV when I got my phone but didn’t activate it until they said it would run out. watched Foundation and Severance. Don’t use it no more…

Yes, I did. And Deadwood too. It was an incredible show. They both were.

Yes, Deadwood was the best HBO show that didn't get enough seasons.  What was cool about Justified though was how they kept bringing in actors from Deadwood for cameos or small appearances. 

 

Now that I'm taking these up, I'm probably going to have to rewatch both now.

My BIL pays for my family's Netflix, but if he decided to get rid of Netflix, I wouldn't really mind to be honest. For the past few years on Netflix, I've mostly watched Asian series and movies. And the thing is, most of the Asian content found on Netflix can be found on other streaming platforms that cater specifically to that category, and they are cheaper than Netflix. But, as long as my BIL is paying for it, I won't complain, lol.

We have Netflix, Amazon, and Disney+. Max likes to watch a Disney program called "En Pointe". It's a documentary series about young dancers. Honestly, I enjoy it, too. I love seeing how passionate the kids are about their vocation.
