Heard a noise in the woods on my walk, so I rang the school bell I carry in my pack, and there was a crashing sound and splashing... something running through some wetland. Could have been a bear, or maybe a deer, but I think it was a bear... too much noise for a deer... they are usually pretty quiet.

I had a wonderful birthday today! Because it was also Easter weekend, we had an Easter egg hunt for my niece and youngest nephew. It was fun watching them fight over the spoils.
