From what I understand, it’s only like that in fiction. Apparently with the amount of tourists visiting there constantly it’s a huge commitment to go to the top like that. 5 1

The line waiting to climb the tower takes several hours, I've heard. Much like some of the rides at Disneyland. Not that I've been to either location to know for certain. 5

I’d probably agree, we climbed the inside of the Statue of Liberty when I was 11…Once you’ve climbed one internationally famous monument/structure the thrill is gone. 2 3

Yup, Paris' nit worth it Come visite The Hortillonnages in Amiens, the castled in Compiègne and Pierrefond, the birds sanctuary in Somme, the beaches in Normandy, Bretagne wild landscape and it's pink granite coast.. So many beautiful and cool things to visite away from the pollution and the hoards of tourists in Paris 6

And Clo is right it is a quite common treatment Yeah, and I know I need it done, but I can't find anything online about the doctor. I want someone who is highly regarded and experienced. I'm calling my personal eye doctor tomorrow and ask him why he recommended her... he didn't know I had cataracts when I saw him a couple of months ago--he just said my cornea(?) angle was a concern... and I will ask him who is the best doctor to go to for cataract surgery. I know it's a relatively safe operation, but there can be issues after, and I don't want those. 3 2 1

Bucket1 Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 The storms seem to have passed. It was loud and wet and more loud and more wet… but I have done better than my sister. Lightening destroyed a large tree and it caught on fire. Nice bit of drama for her and she is still in the path of the storm. Keeping fingers crossed 5

A huge area has a severe weather warning for Wednesday, about a million square kilometers Please stay safe. Rumor has it that the Canadians are sending us a bit of their cooler drier air. Something to make it feel like mid-September. 1 4

My dad just had the catracts in his eyes removed earlier this summer. The right eye while I was here in June. The left a couple weeks later in July. He had no issues and is very glad he had it done. Dad was just two months shy of his 89th birthday when they did the first eye. The ophthalmologist used lenses to correct his distance vision so now he only needs readers. He is thrilled. Mum and my stepdad had the surgery done several years ago. Of everyone I know that had the surgery only one had issues. He didn't follow instructions so his recovery took longer. He's the same guy who wouldn't listen to the surgeon or PT after corrective surgery for nerve damage in his neck. His recovery was delayed and not as full as it might have been. Do what you are told and you will be fine. 1 6
