Hi, Thorn.  It's a beautiful day here... no wind... and lots of sunshine. I was able to turn my mare out this morning. I love watching here trot across the paddock as if she's never been in it before, snorting and spinning. She might be almost 26, but she still looks like a filly.

No, it's not your imagination... she is now nine and a half months, and she's filling out nicely. I think she gets way more exercise here than she did in the suburbs,and her crate appears to be getting smaller.

I was in Cuba in November 2016. Wonderful country! The people were so laid back and friendly. It didn't take me too long to realise why it reminded me of Ireland in a way. Nothing ever happened when it was supposed to. If a tour was booked to start at nine in the morning then we would be lucky if it actually started before ten. "The Land of Time Enough" is a term often used to describe Ireland. The same could be said of Cuba. The only real difference was the sunnier weather and the darker skinned population.

Well maybe Scotland and the far north of England?  They are called border collies, after all.

 

Mind you, a lot of what is now in the far north of England was once part of Scotland. The English historically tended to lay claim to lands that they didn't really own.

Another sunny and warm - kind of hot even - day with 20℃. I was stun when I took my car that was park in the sun in front of the house at 3pm and it said 25℃! It feels so good!

We're at 15℃ here. And that's really good for February in Ireland. Lovely blue sky with a few fluffy white clouds as well. Heaven!
