Site Administrator Popular Post Valkyrie Posted July 24, 2019 Site Administrator Popular Post Posted July 24, 2019 Well everybody survived the ordeal of the vet visit. I only got some minor scratches Even with the med, I still couldn't get Joker into the cat carrier. So I put him in the car and got him there that way. The exam went well. Everything looks good. He's lost about 2 pounds, so they did bloodwork and got a urine sample. I should find out the results tomorrow. 6 1 1 1

Here's hoping your migraine goes away. It has remained a lovely day. As you say the sun is hot so we're sitting under the tree in the upper yard. Temp around 82/28° with comfortable humidity. I shutoff the ac and opened windows. The migraine has eased. I'm hoping it continues to improve as I'd like to mow my yard since the weather is cooperating. Received a package from the Thomas Jefferson Specialty Pharmacy. It contains three syringes each with 1.5 ml of Ajovy. I am to inject all three for a total dose of 4.5 ml under the skin on my thigh. That is supposed to be effective for roughly 84 days when I repeat the process. We'll see how effective it is. I'm hoping it works better than the single dose I did last month. It is a considerable savings, roughly 2/3 the cost of monthly injections. 1 6

Popular Post Headstall Posted July 25, 2019 Popular Post Posted July 25, 2019 My son came back from his vacay to find a bunch of baby honeybees on his windowsill. He's been rescuing them... he's carried out about 60 so far from his room and the room beside his... he feeds them sugar water and they get lively and fly away. We don't know where they came from, but we think it must be from the wall/ ceiling over his window, and that would be a major undertaking to open up... there was only four when he got home today, so it looks like maybe they're ending. I know a hive of wasps or hornets will leave if their scouts don't come back. He called a beekeeper who's coming over on Sunday, so maybe he can figure it out. It's sweet to see my son care so much about these honeybees... I raised him well. 2 5 1
