Play would stop there unless a word was found starting with ys. How long can we grow the chain of words?

nth  (while I could have used "nt," which dictionary dot com defines as an alternate term for "nit," that would leave us with the same problem of limited word starting with "nt."  Whereas using "nth" leaves many possibilities with "th" as the starting two letters, and nth is a legitimate word, according to usage and dictionary dot com).
