Thanks for being the first to review. And yeah... sex! I don't like to put it in there gratituously but it was totally in character for Bashta and Cavel and the scene sooo... yeah, it was fun to write. I think that leaving the question unanswered would make the story incomplete. Yes, we have a plague and then we have a cure. But without knowing why the plague struck them, if not the original source yet, is absolutely essential. Can't wait to see how it comes about, lol. I am almost as in the dark as my readers are until I put fingers to the keyboard and the guys let me in on what's going on. More coming next week, count on it!!

Oh yeah! I looooove my baths. I'm not so much for the bubbles and I only have a basic tub but I can spend hours and hours in the tub soaking. I like my muscle relaxing mineral soaks, a awesome book, and a drink (no wine but alcohol definitely). When my cat was a kitten he followed me around so much that he'd sleep on my chest as I soaked.

My first suggestion, read the Site Help area with the rules and run through of how the site works and how to use GA Stories. Then, be active. Read and review. Talk to other authors. Cruise the Writer's Corner. Add your two cents to the topics there or add one of your own. Create a discussion forum, respond to all reviews and comments by readers. There is a huge volume of stories here on GA so sometimes if you are an unknown author it will take time to get your story noticed. You definitely get out what you put into the site. That all being said, welcome to GA! I hope you find the site a comfortable home for your stories.

1. My kids. They're often hilarious and make me smile and laugh. I think it's a defense mechanism so I don't strangle them in their sleep. 2. Tickling. No matter how mad I am if you tickle me I will giggle and scream like a giddy teenager. It's embarassing, especially since I'm ticklish everywhere. That sounds like you would like a beta reader really. A beta reads your stories, talks about plot, characterization, what works, what doesn't, timeline errors, inconsistencies... I beta for a core group of about 6-7 authors and add up to about 10 more off and on depending on what they need. What I do for each writer is different, depending on what they want from me. Sometimes I look just for plot/character errors. Sometimes I do that and more, up to and including grammar, punctuation, spelling. It just depends on the story and what the writer I'm working with at the time wants. Most of the writers I have use a team in fact of more than 1 person, often a beta and an editor or multiple betas. If you would like to sign up and request an official beta/editor send a pm to sat8997. She is in charge of that program within the Writer's Support Team. You can also check out the editor/writer's corners. As for comments and reviews on your stories, have you a topic for each story? Do you respond to reviews? Do you read and review/comment for other's stories? Those who are active on the site with reading and giving out reviews to other authors tend to receive more reviews in return. You can also put a link to your stories in your signature. You can do a basic text link if you like or do an image as a signature, such as mine. It is actually clickable and sends the user to my story listing. I can help you with that if you like and don't know how to do an image, I've made several signatures or I could guide you to input one of your own. Readership starts out slow, stick with it and the site and they'll improve.

Bondage scenes are often looked upon askance. What I found interesting on this site was that Nephy had quite a high reader count for her story, Love in Chains, but very few people commented compared to her normal responses to stories. For a large portion of her posting it was just Connor and I making comments. I do think that people are a bit shy to admit to finding the subject titillating, really anything other than freaky. Deviant behavior and all that By all means, if you wish to get your artwork vetted perhaps you can load a few varied examples into an album on a photo sharing website like photobucket or flickr, or if you have an account on deviantart, I can view the images there as I have an account. Then provide the link to the mods/admin so we can discuss it and get you an answer. You could send me the link in a pm to keep your material private if you like and I can start a topic in the private moderator forum.

My girl played with ponies and barbies and stuffed animals. She also liked/likes hot wheels cars, fishing and her bow and arrows. My son likes his boy toys, bakugan, cars, action figures but he also plays with her barbies and stuff too. He used to wear jewelry and her play dress up shoes and the one baby doll she had and didn't like became his. He called it 'baby foof' and it went everywhere with us when he was 2/3 for a while. Baby foof would have to use the potty in stores when he did and everything. It's safe to say I let both my kids play with what they want and be who they are. My hubby would shake his head at the jewelry and stuff but he didn't say a word either. Kids are kids, they get enough pressure outside the home to conform to expectations of what they are supposed to do/be in life. Their home should be a safe place where they don't have to worry about not being allowed to be who they are, no matter who that person is. I understand the urge for parents to tell their children to be careful in public, no one wants their kids to be hurt by the stereotypes of others. No matter how confident you make them teasing can still hurt. My son is 4 and wants earrings like the rest of us (yes, including his dad) but we told him he would have to wait until he was older and can better weather the possible fall out. There is a line, imo, but toys don't cross it.

Hmm... your blogs always make me think and usually leave me with a bit of peace in my mind when I'm done as well. Because I had a scare with a fatality car accident and I have kids I made sure I have done things like talk to my family about my wishes and made a living will, stuff such as that. It's early doing it in my 20s but I always want my family to be on the same page I am if, lords forbid, I am every forced to leave them before I'm ready. Life is a path, sometimes it divurges from where we think it's going. It's always good to be prepared. I truly hope to never outlive my children or have truly bad events happen in my life but you are a sterling example of the power to overcome and not lose yourself in the process. What kind of info are you looking for? I had an older guy friend as a teen who was a boxer. He did pretty well as an amateur and he taught me a few things. Most of the technical stuff you can figure out from google and online research/books though. Of course I have no idea what a trainer and working in a gym or a ring would be like.

If people weren't allowed to submit WIP's (Works In Progress) most of us would not be able to submit very often I typically try to write ahead on serial chapter stories so I have a good basis and then start posting. It does keep you motivated and you can include tips, ideas, and thoughts that your readers share with you in reviews or comments in your story topic. Go ahead and submit any time you feel like, though please read the help area, faq's and such. It will answer most, if not all, of your questions regarding how to submit and what happens to your story after you do. As always, if you hit any snags or have questions you just can't find the answer to feel free to send me a pm or find me in chat sometime.

I know the one you talk of Nephy and as it's art and not graphic I don't see anything wrong with it. No one has complained anyway The only thing is that naked yet not graphic erotic art versus graphic erotic art are two separate ball games. It really is a judgement call which is why I suggested the 'team' approach if the art in question is overtly graphic and and/or showing a lot of frontal nudity. You never know until you ask, right?

I grew up in the country, like 600 people in my town country. I live in a suburb but even the cities here in the Pac NW aren't too 'city'. I still miss the small town life at times. We'd raise our kids in Josh's home town, (about 4,000 folks) if it were economically feasible. As it is, we're stuck visiting. That's the plan for this weekend, yay!

It depends on how overt your 'erotic' portion of the art is. I think the most graphic I have seen has been by Aikirangel in the gallery, https://www.gayauthors.org/forums/gallery/album/207-aikirangel/ He's deleted most of his old pics but he has a few left here. The only thing is the 'no nudity' rule on GA. Your best bet before posting anything you think might be over the line would be to let the mods/admin have a look at them and say yea or nay so that they don't get pulled. I personally love erotic art, as long as it's tasteful. I don't make it myself, I do nature photography, but I always appreciate it when done well.

Can I offer a suggestion on the nutrition front? Get some of those meal replacement shakes or supplements. Better than milk, same effort. I keep cereal bars around myself. I've had to ask for patience from my writers for far less issues than that. Anyone who doesn't understand that life sometimes gets messy needs to have their heads examined. Good thoughts for you and your family, I do hope things will look up, even if you can't see it now.

I hope nothing dramatic happens but don't wait to call until something does. Try to head it off before it gets to that point, maybe?

Welcome to GA. You being here... perhaps it indicates you're open-minded? No seriously, not everyone here is gay, even the guys. Some members are straight, some bi, some are gay, some just don't know. It's okay to still be figuring it out. You'll find someone from just about any walk of life you can think of here, from all over the world. There are all sorts of stories here; gay, straight, bi, sex, no sex, fantasy, modern, happy, sad... as in life, there is a little bit of everything. Add in great topics and information in the Forums and it's a mecca for someone who is writing and/or exploring. I hope you do contribute sometime! If you aren't ready to release your novel story yet you might consider trying out writing a short story for the anthologies. They're themed and often great fun and other than the theme the rules are pretty wide open. Plus it gives readers a chance to check out your writing without the pressure of keeping up with a long or serial chapter story. If you're interested there is more information in the Anthology Forum. I think Bashta will keep Cavel on his toes. Don't forget they get to go back to the jungle each year too, where Bashta will definitely be the one in charge. I think Cavel is just so used to being alpha and in charge that he's gone a bit autocratic. Bashta will remind him that his clan are people, people who might not always be there like so many people never come to realize until it's too late.
