I still believe Parallax needs to be put out to pasture when this is all said and done, the irresponsible kitty is at the heart of all this mess...Kastor has an agenda and is not to be trusted... Shipping Val to earth could have some serious consequences as he most likely will appear as a dog....just saying... Parallax....bad kitty...bad kitty...

Carey, a solitary life of dissipation will get you nowhere...he needs to figure what direction(s) he wants his life to go/travel...
-
Well, there is still the old bugbear of Chris and Beau to be sorted...along with the other two delving deeply into their past...

I found the following pretty interesting and amusing, teenage emotional storm clouds fade away and by gosh...what occupies the boys minds...well the smaller one at that.... Noah shook his head, “Are cool. They guessed about you and me. The usual ‘be careful’ stuff and not at school. All good”, he grinned. “And don’t say a word to your Grandmother”. He looked at his watch, “Anyway. I reckon we’ve got an hour. Want to go upstairs and get naked?” Toby grinned, “You bet.” Another wonderful chapter!!

The Audition, and Blowback
drsawzall commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in The Audition, and Blowback
I really wanted to use the 'angry emoticon'; however it would seem that justice and retribution is in the beginning stages... As for Zach, for the remainder of his natural life, will always be a guest of the corrections system... Kudos to Dominic identifying the hidden camera...well done!! -
Another classic Western tale set back in the day, realistic, true to life, and one heck of an enjoyable read. As well written a story you may find anywhere, and we are so lucky to have it grace the pages of Gay Authors!! Riveting and thought provoking, this story will keep you glued to the keyboard as I was! Seriously, stop reading this and get cracking on with the story, you'll be glad you did!!!

Wow...simply f'ing wow...so powerful, so well done, simply brilliant and some of your best yet!!! “Why do you even care about me? I'm not your kid.” “That's a good question. You don't need to be my biological son for me to care about you. When I look at you, I see a boy who is constantly struggling. There are times, when you let down your guard, that I see this wonderful man who is so full of hope and potential, but he then gets scared and hides again. “You don't need to be biologically related to care about someone. You of all people should know that. You have an entire family that loves you without genetics being a factor. You have a boyfriend who loves you, despite how he might feel right now. And as much as you try to push me away, I love you, and I don't need a paternity test to tell me how much I want to be your second dad. It's those rare moments when you drop your defenses, come out of hiding and, in your own way, say, 'Hi,' that tells me that I'm the luckiest guy on the planet to have you as a stepson. “You've been hurt so many times by people you've grown to care for that it seems easier to cause the pain first, but I'm going to tell you right here, right now that no matter how much you try, you will never push me away. I'm not going anywhere. I'm sitting on this bed and fully prepared to share this room with you if that's what it takes to prove to you that I'm never going to leave you. It doesn't matter what you say to or about me. I will never leave you. Bryan, I love you, mean it, and I'm never going away.”

I think telling our mixed-up amnesiac that while the results are in from testing, having to wait over the weekend is a bit much...and so much for being a guinea pig for science...will the good doctor try hitting on his patient???

The Boys Are Back In Town
drsawzall commented on frozenphenix's story chapter in The Boys Are Back In Town
Thank you for taking the time to give us this story, as you know, it engendered some pretty strong reactions from me, and that my friend is a testament to your hard work....looking forward to what springs from your devious self next!!! Thank you!! -
Martina, who played the part of Long Ears??? Good call @Summerabbacat!!! Why am I reminded of another hurricane????

Harry is on a long walk off a short pier with the attitude he is displaying...the following just boggles my mind, if someone told me they were eager to boink my significant other, he'd/they would need reconstructive jaw surgery...I mean...WTF...is it time for the secure psych ward??? I dismissed her and after a while Ben came in. “What did you do to Laurie?” he asked. “She’s walking on air.” “I’m taking her to dinner, and then I’m going to fuck her.” I said, as if that was commonplace for me. Ben’s jaw dropped open. “I’m not gay anymore,” I said. “You better look out for your wife. She’s a damned attractive woman.”

Cory's Christmas Present, and Happy New Year

Thank you for this and taking the time to entertain us, it is appreciated!!! Looking forward to more of your work!! -
Did not see the following coming...that and Makani needs to get tested regularly for STD's... Maybe, maybe not. Either way, Peni is a good one. He could have been in a lot worse place,” Makani told them and then lowered his face. “Let me level with you both. The real reason I’m here is to escape my ex. He was controlling and abused me. I couldn’t get away from him. He finally got caught beating up another boyfriend he had on the side that I never knew about. I guess I was really as worthless as he told me I was.” Charlie and Drew were shocked. Charlie reacted first and got off the far end of the sofa to hug Makani. Drew followed soon after. Makani started crying as they held him. “I was pretty stupid but he treated me so good at first.”

Chapter 5 The Maine Manse
drsawzall commented on JLynch's story chapter in Chapter 5 The Maine Manse
I detect a hidden/developing crack in the Carey/Harper dynamic with Bell, if this is the one from the first chapter, then will Toby somehow reappear??? -
I hope the project of redoing the house isn't symbolic for the story coming to an end, I'd wish for, and I am being purely selfish, another dozen or twenty or so chapters... There was much to like in this chapter, to me one of the highlights was the way we see the growth of Joe's character and the simple, but effective lessons he learns when the information he needs to know is shared with him, not browbeaten into him... I think they will have to push the solicitors a bit harder...a forensic accountant would be a worthwhile expense if the sums involved prove to be larger than thought...how much of this pot of money made into the hands of the church over time??? "Precisely. Your Grandfather ignored it, prevented your Mum and I inheriting when we turned 21, so it was simply reinvested, and it seems that the people looking after the money knew what they were doing." Joe laughed, "So there's plenty?" "I think it's more like an elegant sufficiency. You know how they go on about interest rates dropping?" "Yeah. Though I don't read much about that." "You should. Because if interest rates drop, if 'the market' is dropping", I put the words in air quotes, "then that will directly affect the income from the investments. It's not all fixed." Joe stared at me, clearly recalibrating things, "You know those ads that you see for wonder investment schemes where there's always a warning that investments can go down as well as up?" I suspect with simple rather than compound interest, the pot of money as it is called, should have grown if those investing were wise...I think it is critical that those who were responsible for investing explain their rationale/investment strategy, and account for any and all expenses, distributions, and fees.

Like an onion, not the weepy kind folks, there are many layers to this tale of intrigue...Not sure sleeping together is, or can equate to sleeping together 😉 It may be the old rapscallion in me, but why am I reminded of the following...

The Decision, and the Trip
drsawzall commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in The Decision, and the Trip
Just to note @Carybr and others, Jackson and Zach's actions are criminal, as noted below... "No! I won't touch him. I'm not that stupid. I'll recruit him for the school play and have him try on the costume." Jackson saw the lightbulb go off in Zach’s head. "You’ll record him." An evil grin split Jackson’s face, emphasizing his scars. "You got it. His naked little body will make us twice as much as any of the other kids have." "You're sick. But I love you for it." "I love you too, Zach." One can only hope that, and I have to believe they will, when they are caught, they spend time in the prison's general population, where their fellow inmates can let the both of them know just how they feel about child abuse...I truly their lengthy sentences will be served in a relatively short span of time, that they will be in pine boxes when they leave... This chapter certainly took a dark turn...not that I have any strong feelings about this.....- 30 comments

This story was a sobering pause for thought, there's so much I want to rail at considering the inequities in the different worlds we live in. Faux politicians/preachers/ministers/priests/rabbi's, and Inman's spew vitriolic based on misinterpreted, ill-considered interpretations of their belief systems. Challenging us not to focus on the issues that matter, but on the destructive hate for those who are or believe differently. We are bombarded with messaging, not geared towards bettering ourselves, but to fear those who aren't like us... As I step down from my soapbox I concur with the sentiments noted above, this story has much more to it, and if you so choose, further chapters would be most welcomed... Thank you for sharing this with us, and to the day when the least of us is as important as the rest of us!

I can't disagree with your point about disclosing private information without others consent, at issue here is the possibility that the information could leak out, what worries me is that there is an unresolved dynamic at play here that could have serious implications, perhaps Chris and Beau may need to discuss this. On another note, I spend significant time and effort on choosing what goes into 'decorating' my home and boudoir with a discerning eye...to the point I spend large sums at Mall Wart, particularly on sheets for my bed...any faux decorating heathen dissing them on sight gets shown the door and kicked to the curb... Just sayin.....

Carey is in the process of finding himself and the flavors that excite him, it's early days for the boy and looking forward to what the future will bring...
