The difference in the social strata is truly remarkable. And I fear Stanley is stuck as of caught in cement. All credit is due to both Oliver and Timothy for their impeccable manners and sociability.

The noose is getting tighter and they are leaving clues like crumbs… Loved the idea of of converting what they could into gemstones…

And frankly not give a damn…

Ya gotta remember, there’s at least two kinds of oral….oaths…

Thank you for sharing this with us!

There will be bloodshed, no one is coming out of this unscathed…Acosta, if he had any common sense, would have the cattlemen and cowboys turn Ephraim over… And I wonder, where is the new fanged pistol…

Father's Day Strip-Off, Two of Three

And what is Ryder not disclosing… And, @Summerabbacat, you forget Madame Zelenska is the seventh daughter of a seventh daughter, who also was a seventh daughter…you’d have to ask @weinerdog for his family tree…and, all were notorious coffee addicts, and loved to dance the Hokey Pokey… Ryder is alarmingly perceptive. He either has a crystal ball, tarot cards or tea leaves to rival those which have been passed down through @weinerdog's family from his great, great, grandmother Madame Zelenska, a Czech fortune teller of mixed Slavic and Romany blood, or he is a very astute observer of people. I suspect it is the latter. Not bad for a construction worker (maybe he is related to David

Ephraim just pulled a John Wilkes Booth moment, possibly with similar consequences...like a wounded, rabid animal cornered, Ephraim is a force not to be discounted. Stop him!" Silas roared, lunging forward, his massive hand outstretched. Alvarez tracked to fire again, but Ephraim was faster. He swung his heavy boot up, catching the edge of the windowsill, and launched himself backward into the darkness. Alvarez fired, the Webley roaring in the confined space, the muzzle flash momentarily blinding. The bullet tore through the empty air where Ephraim had been standing, shattering the window frame and sending a spray of wood splinters raining down. Alvarez was at the window a heartbeat later, his free hand gripping the sill, his eyes scanning the darkness below. He saw a dark shape hit the ground, rolling, absorbing the impact of the fall with a deep, heavy thud. He saw the shape scramble to its feet, moving with a limping drag, and disappear into the shadows of the alleyway. Alvarez would never make it down there in time. Booth was shot in the neck while in a burning barn, was dragged out, and died a few hours later... Personally, one hopes Ephraim never makes it out of his burning barn... There is plenty of blame to assign here: Acosta, for hiring the boys to work with the cowboys in the sheep wars... Genevieve, knowing something was off with this client... And both Devon and Alvarez as well.... Time to find out where Ephraim is holed up; he's got a damaged leg, and who is he going to turn to?

Please take care of yourself first and foremost….we will wait patiently for your return…

A difficult lesson for the boys to learn….

Well done and thanks! -
One of the most difficult aspects of acting, is simply letting go… She stepped back, flipping open the folder. “We’re blocking the next sequence this morning. It’s not as intense as yesterday, but it’s close. I want you grounded before we start.” I looked at the mirror again. “I’m trying.” “I can see that.” She closed the folder. “Take a walk. Get breakfast. Breathe. Come back when you’reready.” I hesitated. “What if I’m not ready?” She gave me a small, almost imperceptible smile. “Then come back anyway.”

life is always a process of constant change…and for Rufus, puberty’s got a lot more in store for you…

The irony is priceless, one of Acosta’s hired guns turn on him…Will Ephram now see further revenge? Lemuel, having the rifle he did, will as noted, have repercussions, where will they lead to? Alvarez and Devon, time to have a two person circle jerk….. Somewhere out there is someone for Jeb…it is also becoming obvious that Devon’s surgical skills are going to be critically important. The 64 thousand dollar question is whose life will he be asked to save??

Or possibly right… I think Ryder sees in Owen, someone who is genuinely a a good person and not a superficial phony… Working in the construction trades as a gay person, closeted or not, is extremely difficult…a a hetero, macho environment , there aren’t many that can top the abundance of testosterone. What I like about Ryder is that he’s looking forward to someone and something better. Now, I gotta return Cole’s phone call….😉

Father Costas is wise in the way he interacted with Levi. I look forward to additional meetings between the two of them..

I’m impressed with the way Matt and Luke are adjusting and adapting to Levi and his needs. Here in Central Massachusetts, the hub of the universe, the overnight rain did little to dispel the pollen. It’s approaching hot, humid, and stinky…The Kleenex is gone, on to Bounty paper towels🧻! As with others, Levi saying grace floored me, he will adjust just fine, including a few bumps down the road…he is fifteen after all and puberty isn’t finished with him!

It is pretty apparent that Levi was kept isolated from everyone and everything outside the home and church. And I suspect it was done to leave the ‘gene’ for gay in the deepest depths of dormancy… Matt is doing the right thing, gently guiding Levi to think for himself. Matthew 24:40 along with John 4…would be good reading when he is ready. I further suspect the rigid, fundamental approach of his church condemns ‘other’ forms of worship… So glad I found the time to check this story arc out. Supurb writing….Thanks!!!

The cut on Lawrence's foot is proof that he is in danger, not so sure it was a warning when you consider someone/thing was trying to drag him down... A sharp sting in his heel startled him. A leech? Was that possible in water this cold? Lawrence shook his leg, only to feel a grip wrapping itself around his ankle and yanking him down. Alarm overloaded his senses. His heart beat faster as he struggled to get rid of whatever was trying to pull him under, into the darkness below. His lungs screamed for air. Lawrence drove his free heel into the hand – it had to be a hand – holding him, as little as that would serve him. It worked. The grip lessened, surprise most likely more efficient than Lawrence’s actual kick. He bent and twisted, his vision tunneling as he stared into the abyss below. Something moved down there – a matte black shape, and Lawrence thought he glimpsed a metallic glint. Bubbles from his own nose blinded him.
