    Chapter 4

It took some time but there was a 'happy ending' for Brad and Alden....
  3. Holy frigging crap...foist on pg 4.....
  4. This chapter was a brilliant exercise in creative writing as noted by the following paragraph... "Well, the next thirty or forty years are going to be awfully lonely, because this is the only time I'm coming. One way you're lucky here is you have a hundred doormen at your disposal. Every time you walk through a door, someone else will open and close it for the rest of your miserable life."
  5. Oooohhhhhh.....nuf said/implied, what she said......oh look #42 if I can get this in before another comment Most days, Eclipse and Hank hung out in the shade beneath the large roof extension attached to the north side of the barn. Two quarter horse geldings, an Arabian mare, and a gorgeous Morgan gelding obtained from a rescue organization joined them. Marcel had a sorrel gelding he named Danny. He joked that a redhead needed an Irish name. Dante fell head-over-heels with a blue roan named Stone. His coat was a pretty gray-blue. The smallest horse was an all-white Arabian mare. No matter what products Duncan used, her forelock refused to be tamed. He threw in the towel, left the fuzzy hair alone, and named her Gnomie. The good ship Korner Queen... Honesty is always the best policy... He grabbed a chair and sat facing his son. “I’m sorry I grabbed you and shoved you into the chair. I’m even more sorry for suggesting sending you to Montana. You don’t need to hear me say I want you to stay. I should have done a better job of showing you.” Vann’s eyes overflowed with fresh tears. Caleb reached out and brushed them away gently. “From here on out, we have to be honest with each other. I promise never to judge you when you make a mistake. I promise to tell you every day that I love you, and I promise I’ll never send you away. If you decide you want to leave, I’ll try to change your mind. If you insist, I’ll let you go with a heavy heart, but I will always keep my door open for you. I want you here, Vann. This is where you belong. Our family isn’t complete without you.” Vann launched himself, sobbing into Caleb’s arms. He held his son tight and rocked him until the waterworks abated. “I don’t want to leave.” Ok all you haters, the jury has reached a decision and it's....

    Chapter 12

I can't fault Max one bit, it may have been over the top, but it was necessary, if that the supercilious steward wasn't smirking, I would have gone easier...what a frigging twit!!! So glad to see the Mini-Cooper is going to be restored, I hope Charlie remembers to use OEM (original parts by the company that made the car) parts wherever possible...it adds much to the value!!! I've always been the sort to as a much younger man...just after tires replaced the dinosaurs...to work on my own cars as finances made it a necessity!!! I can remember coming home from work one dark and rainy night, and the frigging muffler fell of the car and it was too late to get to the parts store...and I had a hot date in a couple of hours. I'd been chasing that boy for what seemed months, but that's another story...ask me some time... Needless to say, a coffee can cut down the side, a couple of radiator clamps to hold it the exhaust pipe and some heavy-duty coat hangers to hang the muffler and tail pipe to the drive shaft, and my mickey-mouse repair worked!! And the date was consummated in the back of my station wagon, much later that night... I do have one detail for you to consider...the underlined should read as did the brake lines!! I am truly looking forward to watching the Mini come back to life!!! The clutch and handbrake cables needed to be replaced, as did the brake pipes

    Chapter 15

One of the hallmarks of a great story is in the reactions it engenders...and boy has it ever...I've been losing patience with Micco from nearly the beginning and it is sorely tested now... Calhoun sighs and rolls his head toward Chase. Whatever they communicate, Chase’s shoulders remain tight and high, though his jaw unlocks. He nods. “Michael,” he says to me, and I hear it as clearly as Calhoun does. The warmth, the worry, and the affection. Whatever pretense we’d been keeping about being strangers evaporates with that one word. Yet Calhoun doesn’t even twitch. “Yeah?” I answer softly. “I’m going to tell you some of what’s going on. Everything I can. And I want you to listen, because we still have questions. And your answers to those questions will make every difference about what happens next. Do you understand?” Not really. In theory, maybe. I nod anyway. Micco...pull your head out of your ever-loving freaking backside!!!! Snap out of whatever malaise of the moment you are choosing to dwell in, and try and ground yourself in some sort of semblance of reality...So many things you should have done after finding the blood in your kitchen, your laptop on, the glass of whiskey, or all the other clues you should have shared previously...it is well past time to cut the I'm a damsel in distress act!!! I'm rooting for the hurricane at the present...not that I have any strong feelings at the moment...
  8. This chapter was swimming in undercurrents, some pleasant, some benign, and some portending unresolved issues with the egg hatchery... If there was ever any doubt as to where Toby belongs the following should put an end to any other sort of nonsense... Toby came into the room, “Dad?” “Justin and his parents, how about we do something with them?” “Like what?” Brian shrugged, “Dunno, you have a think. Picnic at the Arboretum, or maybe drive to the coast.” Gordon looked up, “Something you two lads would enjoy but which gives us oldies at least something to do. There’s that archaeology place where they’ve all the old stuff they found in the fens”. “Old stuff!” Brian rolled his eyes. Gordon smiled, “Ancient woodwork, then. Just thought it might be an idea.” Toby looked at the two of them, “You mean do something like a family?” Brian wrinkled his brows, “Like family? We are a family, aren’t we? Sport?” Toby thought about it then nodded, all serious, “Yes. I’d like that.” Brian gave his son a hug. The unexpected visit to Brian's mum has me very concerned. I think, and may be way off base here...that there may be the beginning of doubt in the milt collector's minuscule thought processes...is it possible she is now seeing/understanding/acknowledging what everyone else sees in the troglodyte posing as a neanderthal? A very merry Christmas and a happy New Year to you and yours!!!

    Chapter 6

Love the possibilities this chapter put forward, it is exciting to see the dynamics develop among this group!! Jenny is a hoot, and you can tell she has had a lot of experience in dealing (putting up with) with all sorts of vampires and humans. She excludes a certain Je ne sais quoi that is difficult, was gonna say hard, to resist even for this gay oldster!! I am curious as to who will be the first of Greg and Scott's friends who will be the first to be turned...ifin I were a betting man, I'd say Jake...anyone want to lay odds???
  10. Mrs. Fisher is truly becoming a c u next tuesday witch...Every meeting or visitation by her needs to be recorded!!!
  11. I completely agree, hope the hearing goes smoothly...

    Chapter 11

It's a small world after all...personally I enjoy a good fireworks show...looking forward to the next!!
  17. it is obvious the missing ship is somehow connected with whatever the Red Stars are now... This is troubling to say the least... As they drew near to the spaceport, Lyoth’s keen awareness picked up on a man heading straight for them, and he sidestepped out of the other pedestrian’s way. He expected the man to do the same, but he bumped right into Phentrom. “Oh, excuse me!” the mandroid said in surprise. “I didn’t mean to…” The other man did not react, and he continued walking, already disappearing into the crowd. “Well, that was rude,” Fonith stated, and Froufrou let out an angry bark. “I think I’ve…” Phentrom began, but he did not finish his thought.
  18. Mike needs a monastery, he is a ticking timebomb and I still believe his father needs, as they say in the movies, two behind the ear..
  19. Not sure just what to say/comment...

    Chapter 3

Can't think of anyplace that could be like the following...thank goodness...not! “Saturnia is a planet ruled by strife and tension. Wars, hunger, disease, racial and gender strife exist there. Bigotry reigns supreme. Every group tries to get you to live as they live. Heterosexuals hate homosexuals, and homosexuals distrust heterosexuals. Every religious group thinks that their way is the only way that the Supreme Being will accept them. Some religions are so bigoted that they will murder anyone who doesn’t worship as they do. Men and women do not understand each other and are mistrustful of each other.” “It sounds like a perfectly awful place to live,” Vasco commented.
  21. A culinary delight not to be missed...thank goodness for Amazon!! Amazon.com : ligonberry jam
  22. Well it wasn't pirates after all....Some say tomato and I say potato... Genocide, let's hope it is only made up facts... Froufrou...your ride is ion the way...pun intended...
  23. Could it be pirates???

    Stanley

I enjoyed this chapter very much, it hit all the right 'notes' as it were, I thought the following was very good... Before the Memorial, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day services, I wish to introduce to you the senior members of the School Choir,” Kyle added as the singing started coming from the main passageway, as the doors opened and the twelve choir boys dressed in their school uniforms entered the room, and we were given a three hymn performance, that included a solo by Kyle, who was struggling to keep tears away.
