I had to come back to this as herein is the nexus as it were...still have to do some rereading in the morning... But here, in the system of this star, a most unique occurrence had come about. This star - their star - inhabited a place in their own universe that was exactly in the same place as a star in one of the many nether universes that occupied the same place, in some other space. And because these two stars shared forces in the same place, a...tunnel?...had been opened between the two universes within the heart of each star, places of such intense energies and fabulously twisting tensions, as to be unimaginable to the mind of someone born of the comparably sedate plains of a mere planet This tunnel allowed magickons to move from a universe of the nether into their own, there to be radiated outward with the powerful and energetic winds their own star exhaled. Jamie's world was bathed in magickons, literally submersed in them. Humans had come to this system totally unaware of this amazing chance occurrence, because magickons were not a thing they knew, or understood, or could measure. The life that had been born of their world before the arrival of humans was raised in this sea of strange forces, but humans did not know them. So magickons had come to know them, and had changed them over time into a form of life that could interact with both universes, and so had come to harness a new power born of another reality altogether. Magick.

Another thought crossed my mind whilst hiking in the 90+ degree heat and humidity today...What is Flitch's actual role in all of this??? We know he's from another world based on previous conversations, that he's unable to directly come in contact with Jamie or anyone else because of an explosive reaction...could Flitch be from one of the worlds that sealed Jamie's planet off from the rest of the universe?? The more I think about it, I am very sure that Flitch isn't a passive bystander, more akin to a observer reporting on recent developments. This then leads me to wonder, that once this is all over, one way or another...with a lodda help, speaking of which...does Lodda have a sister called Lotta? But I digress...as noted before, Pandora's box has been opened, how does everything get put back in the box...is this what Thorvil and the Council at Arthros have been working on???

I sense that because of what other worlds did to this planet that someone is planning a whole lodda retribution on those otherworldly planets...

Maybe a spark of hope??? Note to self: next time, try that with less water. Thankful to be alive, the shock of what happened didn’t hit him until he was curled in bed trying to fall asleep. These powers aren’t toys. I could have hurt myself or Jenny. I could have died today. And for these reasons, I must master them.

So...the 64 thousand dollar question is...Does Calvin know Diego is/was answering his texts and will Diego fool Calvin into meeting him??? One thing that still bothers me, Calvin is a user of people for his own gain, why is he being so persistent in meeting with Bryan???

The die is cast, will Jamie and his fellow travelers go it alone or will Master Thorvil and the Council find a way to assist...did Seeri and Rier find the Council in time? A random thought here...would it be possible to stop the generating turbines, cutting off the electrums that power the machines/technology of the ancients? There has to be a master shut-off switch close by.... Not for nothing, once the final showdown is concluded, I hope that there is a chapter or two/three, setting the stage for the next adventure, a bit further down the road....leading to a doorway or two!!!!

As noted before in previous comments, how do any of our intrepid heros go back to their lives as they were? I suspect they may only be visitors to the quaint world they have left behind as they bring some sense of order to the world(s) of the ancients...that the dangers inherent it the ruins is rendered harmless... Then, what of the worlds beyond their planet???

Will there be dancing around the prince's maypole tonight???

Like others I am glad to see the last of Urvan, what isn't surprising is the empathy Jamie has in taking Urvan to his final resting place., this is what separates this group from Lodda and Porvus. Will they have the time needed to fully understand the miracle of magick being born, conversely...magick in others being nullified?? One has to expect at this point that the battle now comes to them. I can't envision that Lodda will stay on the defensive... As noted in a previous chapter's comment,how do Jamie and his fellow travelers ever go back to the world they left? While it is a bit premature, I couldn't help myself...no munchkins were harmed in the creation of this comment...
