His friend still remembered the old Caleb, who was trustworthy and honest. That man ceased to exist the day he decided to betray his pack. So he veiled the lie behind the truth. Ain't that the truth... Ok, haters...I've stocked the fridge and I can withstand the siege..., nearly finished the move and have unpacked several boxes. Got 11 miles on the rail trail this morning, feeling somewhat less grumpy. Only one or two trips back and forth left. On a positive note, my attorney just handed my cousins attorney invoices and copies of canceled checks, I've got 'em by the short hairs, with interest due...There just may be light at the end of the tunnel for you know who.....

I agree with this comment wholeheartedly, Seth's mother given a choice as to how her new born daughter should be cared for, raised to be able to eventually mainstream, has all the hallmarks of abuse...while I can sympathize with the tragedy Stacey's birth was, there is no excuse for taking every possible step to get her the care and rehabilitation she needed, then to top off the treatment of Seth endured over the years, without explanation is unforgiveable... Lastly, where is the father???? He did himself little favor for disappearing. Quite frankly legal advice, proper care and counseling should have been legally mandated...

I think someone should have had the discussion with Carlo about dialing back the retribution, but sadly it is too late. While Mike will need intensive medical care and months, if not years, of therapy, Carlo is lucky that Mike will most likely live. Once the story comes out about what Mike did to Lance, and then the fight with with Travis, and the past history of Mike's bullying, Carlo will most likely won't be charged. I'm not sad or sorry about what happened to Mike, I just think that in the moment it was overkill. The kick to the head was unnecessary and uncalled for. Mike was down on the ground, unable to defend himself. If it proves to be fatal, Carlo deserves whatever the legal system throws at him. I happen to think that at this point, Carlo isn't any better than Mike...

Well...there's a twist or two...Can't disagree with any of the comments above. Lady Cicely has the right of it, her comments at the King's dance several chapters back are coming to fruition... It's about to get messy, Gustave isn't as obsequious as we thought him to be, he's much more aware of the comings and goings of his retinue...Fran was lazy in this regard...

As others have noted, Lucas is set on capturing his own 'wilding' and it won't be oats he'll be using for bait... The following bothered me a bit, I have a nagging feeling the Sherriff ain't one to let go so easily... I was visiting my aunt and cousins for a bit while the folks were adulting without us kids... My aunt was late for work one morning and while doing her hair up, accidently grabbed the can of Raid bug spray, you could hear her yelling from the driveway!!!
