The solicitor, Tom & Ian
drsawzall commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in The solicitor, Tom & Ian
Ian was very perceptive as to the following... “The man who visited me has a client who did business with Uncle Vernon back then. The client is only now in a position to pursue it.” “‘In a position’. You mean he was in jail, like.” And I do have to wonder if there is a bit of puppy love Ian has for Tom.... -
Just marvelous, simply wonderful!!!

Chapter 1 20th December 1973 Operación Ogre
drsawzall commented on Gary L's story chapter in Chapter 1 20th December 1973 Operación Ogre
Franco truly was evil personified...I still, to this day, try to figure out when events such as the bar raid occur, do those in power really think they are changing minds??? All they are doing is clamping the lid tightly on the pressure cooker, sometimes the explosion is quick, sometimes it takes decades, but the explosion never fails... -
Ok...took a moment to realize Joan had the 'wrong' parts to be a lady, and being a dog lover, I'm hooked!!! Franco and Pinochet are truly despicable cousins from the rotten side of the family tree!!!!

Oh my...I can remember telling my mother I'd never drink again after the first time, it was drinking Bal Hai wine and Southern Comfort...that memory still gives me the shakes...Later, when Mom was out, the girl whom my cousin was trying to fix me up with brought back my glasses, and had my underpants....telling me not to be embarrassed that maybe the next time would be better...thankfully it never happened... Now...will our esteemed author let Joel and Davin have that wonderful night?????

Chapter 53: Routine Training Mission to an Asteroid, Part 2
drsawzall commented on astroguy's story chapter in Chapter 53: Routine Training Mission to an Asteroid, Part 2
I'm getting the feeling that Shawn is well known outside of his close teammates...that higher-ups are actively trying to create a 'fatal accident'...there is, I suspect a hidden power play at the highest levels, this would make me think that Shawn just may be akin to a Trojan Horse.... -
Why???? Deek shakily asked, "What happened?" Prof. Akana replied: "Preliminary data show it was a small meteoroid. We don't know why your ship didn't have deflectors at higher power. A rock the size of my fist tore through your hull. The ship's gone."

Or a library and god forbid...in bed??? Oh wait a moment...does Kyle like older, mature men...from across the pond???😉 -
Well, now this is quite the set-up/development...I think @Summerabbacat and @weinerdog have hit the highpoints. We are still waiting for that conversation regarding Jacy's 'abilities.' And where those abilities will take him... I get the same feeling too!!!!

Not seeing it, what part of the pic do you see this 3rd person? -
Thank you for your thoughtful comment. I truly appreciate it, and it means a lot to me! On a body count note, per comments in a different story, you with three and @Lee Wilson in the hundreds of thousands, I've managed to dispense with two entire civilizations...he might be subtly rubbing off on me...oh snap...poor choice of words...

And therein is a simple truth, I've always had wandering feet, much to the consternation of family and friends...friends who would rather spend night/weekend after night/weekend in their local watering holes. My admonition to them is that watering holes exist all over the world and they simply can't see the forests for the trees... Mind you, it isn't necessarily watering holes as the focus for my trips either. I'm a museum junkie and a history buff, and in all of my travels, I've come across some of the most amazing folks, who are truly no different than you and I, despite our differences...

Something I rarely do is to post my reaction/comment to a story, and this story is worth the read folks!! So tender and sweet, even in the harshest of times, a powerful and impactful story, thank you for this!! Mo Xu looked at the maps on the wall and at the pins bristling along the blue river. He thought of his son’s hand in his as a child, of catching dragonflies over an irrigation ditch with a chubby toddler. Mo Wu was too young to understand the way of nations and the limits of love. “Sometimes,” he said quietly, “the point is only that you know. You have seen the enemy’s face and found a human being there. That is all there is.”

Great take on the prompts and a very entertaining tale!!! Somehow, I thought Jamie's arrogance would lead to his downfall!!!
