Seriously Now! - An Epilogue, Sort Of…
Aditus commented on Aditus's story chapter in Seriously Now! - An Epilogue, Sort Of…
Why didn't I answer this? I'm so sorry Suvitar. Thank you for reading RRS, reviewing every chapter and even telling me it's a wonderful story. THANK YOU! -
As Romeo and Julian are being difficult, I decided to watch a LOR/Hobbit marathon.

I am embarrassed and ashamed. I hoped that people in my country would never say things like ’Fucking niggers! Let them drown. We should burn them.’ ever again. But they do. Out in the open, not hidden anymore in some back room. And they do more. They burn down refugee homes, they organize torch parades, they post hate speeches on facebook and other the social medias. We are a democracy. They are allowed to do at least some of this. But I say No! Loud and clear. I neither tolerate nor accept racists. You may ask why I’m doing this here. I saw a comment by Anja Reschke yesterday. She asked us to say no and that is what I do. For those who speak German, here is what she said.

Poetry 12 - Rondo: I carry you
Aditus commented on Aditus's story chapter in Poetry 12 - Rondo: I carry you
Thank you, AC! What a wonderful comment. It made my day. I felt like a real poet. *hug* Yay! -
Do you remember home, my beloved? Rolling green hills with meandering streams, the orchards in blossom, the smell of spring, the taste of ale and strawberries with cream. There is no color, no sound of water, only black and grey and clouds of Sulphur. There is nothing but fire. No further. I’m naked. Nothing between me and him. We made it this far. Let’s finish it here. Together as one, nothing can stop us. I give you my legs, my strength, and my heart. And you give us back hope

Cecil was an African lion who primarily lived in the Hwange National Park in Matabeleland North, Zimbabwe. On 1 July 2015, he was shot to death by an American dentist and big-game hunter, Walter James Palmer, who had wounded him with an arrow two days earlier. Cecil's death resulted in international outrage and condemnation. (wikipedia) Killer of Cecil the lion was dentist from Minnesota, claim Zimbabwe officials Cecil had a rare black fringed mane and has been studied by scientists from the Wildlife Conversation Research Unit in Oxford since 2008. He became famous and with that obviously a trophy. This is not about where the hunter came from or even about hunting, but how unscrupulous trophy-hunters from all over the world flout the law to kill for their record books, not thinking or not caring about the consequences. Even the consequences for themselves. I know it's 'in dubio pro reo', so either this man is lying or he is incredible stupid and blind (Cecil wore a collar), in which case he should really not bow-hunt.

Many people learn English as their second language today. When we visit another country, we speak English instead learning French or Italian, much easier. It doesn't need to be perfect. The important thing is that we understand each other. Writing is a totally different matter, especially if we want to publish stories, at least for me. I want it to be as perfect as it can be. Thanks for Grammar Rodeo. @ Mann I don't think learning English is more difficult than German, just different. And who wants to learn German anyway, lol.

Well, I didn't mean to insult you or your expertise, James. Astroturfing is an interesting phenomenon, which doesn't necessarily means you're getting your crank yanked, but that interested parties want certain things to be discussed.

Okay, let's talk about the daisies first. What you see here is a phenomenon called 'stem fasciation'. It has been found in hundreds of plant species and is a normal mutation. It occurs sporadically and is not hereditably. These daisies have been found in Nasushiobara, which is 100km away from Fukoshima, where, according to experts, the radiation level is unproblematic. The likelihood that particles from the nuclear plant are responsible is low. About the rest. Hmmm...for me this sounds like you've fallen victim of astroturfing. I don't want to go into detail here, but the fact alone that ²³³uranium is one of the waste products is a big no no for me as it can be used for nuclear weapons. A byproduct is ²³²uranium, which emits gamma radiation. The technology is still at an immature stage, so risks, costs and consequences can't be predicted. There is an interesting survey study commissioned by the Norwegian government, which didn't lose its significance, although it's from 2008. https://www.regjeringen.no/globalassets/upload/OED/Rapporter/ThoriumReport2008.pdf http://www.reuters.com/article/2008/02/15/us-norway-nuclear-thorium-idUSL1538756620080215 And no, I'm not a friend of producing energy by nuclear fission. I totally out myself as a supporter of the green energy concept.

Dialects...very bad for us, who try to learn/speak/write 'correct' English, especially when we unknowingly mix the regions. Never had problems with the hanged/hung part...had always the right um associations in mind.

My problem isn't that vs who, but that vs this. I can read about it on grammar sites, Lisa explains it to me, Zombie explains it to me, I understand everything and still I do it wrong sometimes. *shrugs*

Thanks, Uziel! Good! Maybe the boss will have another appearance in one of the next prompts.
