Chapter 8 Playing to Win
Timothy M. commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 8 Playing to Win
It's never good to have an important conversation with empty stomachs and low blood sugar. Particularly since the content is more likely to create adrenalin surges and fainting spells than nervous puking. Michael was a bit of a bad boy taking a shower on his own, but I smirked at the fact he didn't act on his reaction to thinking of kissing Kendall. Is he perhaps (subconsciously) hoping someone else will take care of his needs soon ? -
Yeah, this was the snippet your new story Santuary reminded me of. Just as sweet and hot as I recalled. The 'ghost tail' made me laugh.

LOL, Harrison knows Kayden better than Damien does. And having Kayden along means Oliver will have to share a tent with someone else. Wonder who that might be ?
-
that only applies if you're worried about a miscarriage - which Alex wouldn't be. Could actually solve his problem nicely. sorry about repeating myself https://www.gayauthors.org/forums/topic/39326-streak/?p=498041

I remember playing in the hayloft at my grandfather's farm. Unfortunately nothing as hot as this happened, but then I was younger than Jay and Mickey. But the dusty smell and prickly straw and cosy, enclosed feelings of safety and relaxed talking came back to me as I read this chapter. Wonderfully done, CG.

Good to see Barry open and clean out some of his boxes, or at least take a look at what's in there. I suspect some of them will be hard to deal with.

"gargle with mouthwash" What is this obsession young gay (US?) guys have with using mouthwash? Seems weird to an old European like me. Or is it an euphemism for something else? But otherwise this story is freaking hot !

I'm guessing Loius is a witch, since if he was a vampire he'd know whether Cade was his mate or not.

Chapter 7 Changing the Rules
Timothy M. commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 7 Changing the Rules
That was an interesting point, Irri, about Kendall 'defending' by not admitting anything. But if you read again, you'll notice every word was the truth, yet Kendall never pretended he wasn't gay and not in love with Michael. He honestly thinks Ace is straight, and Michael ditching Candy in the pool hall can certainly be described as a lovers' quarrel. And although Kendall wishes differently, Michael isn't his boyfriend, nor has he done anything to Deuce's ass (except stare at it and jerk off, but Kendall doesn't know, lol). And why on earth should he say "We're not a couple, but I wish we were." That's nobody's business and certainly not Lanny's ! But it will be funny, when they (hopefully) return to the team as boyfriends. Or they may join Michael's new team. -
I predict all those plans of Kayden showing Damien how good friends he and Finn are will backfire badly.

Am I the only one wondering why Doc is unhappy? It's more than just Chip not joining them due to work, isn't it? Is he worried about Chip cheating on him? Or are they in a bad spot in their relationship?

Absolutely wonderful. I liked the way Corbin slowly came to realize how he felt, and the way he stood up to his Granddad. What a bastard - he deserved every bit of needling by his daugther-in-law. I'm going to believe the would-be rapist gets his punishment, the evidence is pretty clear. Thanks for a great read.

and if JJ ditches the douchebag and the devilspawn at the same time, is that a problem? But how would this affect his skating ? Very badly is my prediction, but if Alex grovels and continues to pay attention to JJ (which he's likely to do even after being snubbed), it may work out. After all, MaryEllen will be gone in a week and Alex will be in Boston with JJ. Anyway, I have faith JJ will be able to deal with the bitch, even if she is a lot more devious than him. Should be fun to watch (since I cannot take this drama triangle seriously). And JJ being 'unobtainable' as a mostly straight guy may make him even more irresistible to Alex.

Shit ! Here I was, reading along and enjoying the fun, everything looking good, and SLAM - out of the blue things start going wrong. I want to say Neil is being too pessimistic, but unfortunately I think his instinct are spot on. I also want to be that you're leaving us with a cliff hanger, but in fact we're only suffering along with Neil, who is in the same sort of suspense. He may need the life line Todd gave him. Oh, and I noticed we're seing the first repercussions of Ty's dad being a bastard.

Hmm, Nate still suffers from selective memory. Calling Clem "the man Nathan had once shared his bed with" is not a very good description, since he usually fucked Clem dry in the first available spot. At most he slept in the same bed, probably Clem's, when he was too drunk to drive home. But he seems to have progressed to kissing rather than attacking Taylor's mouth, and since they appear to be barebacking, they must have some sort of understanding. Which Nate has now fucked up by playing the homophobic dad tape (thanks, Cannd). Idiot. He was lucky to be thrown out temporarily and given a conditional chance to return, rather than a "get out and don't ever show your face here again" reply, which he deserved.

Chapter 31 Bart's Ordeal
Timothy M. commented on Daddydavek's story chapter in Chapter 31 Bart's Ordeal
Loved the idea of Bart's scientific approach to the telepathy package. Must have been frustrating for Abel, who is so intuitive in his ability, lol. But I think Bart's approach may be helpful in improving the methods of easing new, and particularly wild talents into a good transition and integration. -
Yes that was also my reservation about the idea, but I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. After all, even JJ may eventually grow up and mellow. But I can certainly envisage you being right. Maybe he can be one of those trendsetters who blog about fashion and events and food ? I'm sure JJ will love having admiring fans follow him on Twitter etc.

Don't know why I forgot to review. Anyway, nice background stuff, and I'm hoping CJ gets plenty of pictures taken and emails them to his little brother or his mum. Maybe with a thank you note for being such an uncaring bitch, since it made him realize how great his dad is, and also landed him in the lap of luxury. Oh and I laughed at the line: several bags containing sheets, pillows, towels and a couple of rugs. Just like a Florida man to buy nothing but sheets for the bed. What about a proper duvet ? Much nicer that those fucking sheets.

Chapter 9: Strained Circumstances
Timothy M. commented on AC Benus's story chapter in Chapter 9: Strained Circumstances
Gary is so clever, guessing the stalker might be Silviu. I didn't have a clue, when I first read this chapter. But at least Em has a protector, even if he's annoyed about Sliviu's teasing and refusal to tell all he knows. But I couldn't help being exasperated with Em: he's here on a mission to lift a curse, and he wants to go clubbing ?! WTF Oh well, I suppose one night of fun won't make much difference. -
Chapter 6 Double Solitaire
Timothy M. commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 6 Double Solitaire
I guess I only need to ditto the reviews of Irri and dughlas, but let me add a bit. I think Kendall had been convincing himself he was doing really well without Michael. Seeing him brought home how much he loved him and missed him and showed him how futile it was to tell him they couldn't be friends anymore. Thus all of the pain and effort was for naught. Must have made Kendall feel rather dumb and as a proud man who likes to be in control, it probably made him angry. All of the above may have contributed to his refusal to listen to Michael, and he lashed out like a cornered and feral animal. Yet he knew it was wrong and tried to retract. When he has had time to think it over, he'll be ashamed of this behavior. Hopefully, it will make him act more rationally the next time Michael approaches him. -
I always assumed JJ would use his fashion sense for something, but not modelling. Maybe he could become the personal fashion adviser to the rich and famous. Stef could help him - or Claire.

CSR Book Club Csr Discussion Day: Joe The Welder By Robert Rex
Timothy M. commented on Cia's blog entry in Gay Authors News
I like the main character Frank/Barry in Landfall. He's intelligent and sensible, he is in control of his actions and emotions, even when his life is turned upside down. When he does on occasion give in to sorrow or fear or the new and scary love he discovers, the whole situation is plausible and vividly depicted. -
I agree. Kayden is becoming nicely independent and determined, and I'm looking forward to all the fun we can get out of this. If I was Geoff I'd let Kayden tell the Duke.
