Chapter 13 Betting on a Sure Thing
Timothy M. commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 13 Betting on a Sure Thing
I think Chet can be a great friend to both of them, and I want Michael to appreciate him as much as Kendall does. And I'm pretty sure Ace will cheer Chet up with all his crazy banter. Plus I want Chet to have two good friends and maybe even be introduced to the warmth of the Aceto senior household. Perhaps Michael has a couple of gay cops as work mates WHO he could introduce to Chet. Surely they have joint friends and perhaps also older friends from before they met. When do we get to meet them and see their reaction? And why has noone from the hockey teams called or texted to ask about Michael's injury? Or maybe they have, but the boys have been too absorbed in their new relationship to spare any attention to their surroundings. Their priority is good: each other, then family, then friends - starting with Chet, and I guess work colleagues as needed. Yes, I certainly cannot see this story ending anytime soon. -
What you call UK bacon is actually Danish bacon, produced specifically for the UK market. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Danish_Bacon and the funny thing is, you very rarely get this sort of bacon in Denmark (I mean the type with a large, chewy, meaty part like the first two pictures in the link below). So the bacon I eat are thin narrow slices (like the third picture), which should always be crisp. http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=danish+bacon&qpvt=danish+bacon&FORM=IGRE

Chapter 15: Train Ride to Sighisoara
Timothy M. commented on AC Benus's story chapter in Chapter 15: Train Ride to Sighisoara
I had quite forgotten this nice little train ride. Em and Sil are definitely getting friendlier, although both are still touchy and unwilling to open up all the way. And while I can understand Em's frustration at Sil's refusal to discuss the Raven incident, I also cannot help thinking it's too dangerous to talk openly of their mission. Who knows who might be listening ? -

Between Nightmares and Real Monsters
Timothy M. commented on James Hiwatari's story chapter in Between Nightmares and Real Monsters
Well if neither Gunni nor Dimitri wants to have sex and both of them are happy with a platonic romance, then what's the problem? Except I suppose they'll screw it up by trying to pretend otherwise when they talk with each other. They should have Siggi there to tell them to stop being idiots, lol. -
I have the feeling the TV station will go for making Phil the culprit and Neil the victiim, the way they have made that ad. It makes sense this angle would be a lot more sensational, particularly if they use Ty's initial reaction as well. I wonder if they managed to get Rose by herself and ask if she would be forced to chose between her husband and her son. And of course they have the great footage of Phil being restrained by the security guards and swearing at them - although this could be used in the other angle as well. I hope Todd showed them the photo he took of Neil's red cheek. At least Radio Pride has a vetted interest in portraying Jim as he good guy and to tell the story of another teen who has to fear for his life due to being gay. And I think Colin had a good point when he said the TV station wouldn't want to be made to look ridiculous by not telling the truth. They could still make a hype of portraying all the accusations of Phil, milking it for all its worth, and suddenly do a 180 turn and blast the whole thing open with Neil and his Leopard friends.

Prompts Writing Prompts #396 & #397
Timothy M. commented on Renee Stevens's blog entry in Writing World
Thanks, prompt 396 may be just what I need to get going on my prompt story again. -
Very clever twist away from the expected and taking us somewhere better. I liked it, but it would be interesting to know if other people reacted to him differently over the years - but he'd never know now, would he?

OK, enough of the glimpses of a mysterious attractive readhead already. Man up, CJ, and talk to him. And all that vigorous gym stuff is making me exhausted just reading about it. But I suppose physical exhaustion and pain is a good distraction from mental anguish. Now we just wait for the explosion when Ritchie's dad finds out CJ has been in touch with his brother. Should be the basis for another lovely mental knock-out of the bigot from CJ's dads.

Chapter 12 The Luck of the Draw
Timothy M. commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 12 The Luck of the Draw
Interesting hint of another reason why Kendall wasn't out when he met Michael. If he had been it might have prevented a lot of hurt. At least, if his parents don't accept them, Kendall has a mom and dad who are happy to have a new beloved son. But let's hope they will care about his joy in life from having found his Sunshine. And yeah, I made a bit of a mess too, while reading the last half. Thank God for Kitt's Danish Drool Diverter for my keyboard. -
Chapter 11 Playing For Real
Timothy M. commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 11 Playing For Real
We don't want them to play the blame game, not even in the reverse shape of 'oh no I'm the one who should apologize', so I'm glad they seem to have cleared the air about Chet and Michael's womanizing. But I think it was important for Kendall to tell Michael how bad he felt all those years, not to make Michael feel guilty, but to heal that wound by the mutual promise. But I laughed when Kendall said he'd chop M's nuts off if he didn't behave. Yep, those nuts and all they contain belong to Kendall now and he'll take good care of them and all other parts of the man he loves. Oh, and Michael should thank Chet for being an honorable and kind friend to the two of them. -
Chapter 14: Spider's Web
Timothy M. commented on AC Benus's story chapter in Chapter 14: Spider's Web
Whenever I read this chapter, I laugh about the idea of a vampire in the closet. But at least it got the couple out of the way so Emeric could get loose and be rescued by Sil. I'm not surprised Sil was worried and afraid, I'm sure his mother would have been severely displeased if her son had failed in his mission to look after Em. Can you imagine his sheepish confession: "Um, yeah, Emeric persuaded me to go to a vampire bar and I flirted with this hot guy, because Em pissed me off. And then he got seduced by this vampire couple and I lost him." -
What is that expression: cutting off your nose to spite your face? Em and Sil were having a nice little flirt on the way to the Club, and now they are hooking up with other people instead? Did Silvio honestly think Emeric would 'stick close to him' if he's flirting with another guy and ignoring the man he's supposed to protect. Oh well, I guess it's all part of maturing.

Chapter 10 Playing a Game of Hearts
Timothy M. commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 10 Playing a Game of Hearts
I've been having small Yoda moments ever since I first read this chapter, but the scene where Michael says it's not a matter of trying, they are already committed, is intensely romantic. One of them said it before, they have been in a relationship for years and only needed to take the last two steps: aknowledging it and getting intimate. And holy shit, they sure didn't waste any time getting really intimate ! Talk about hot shower sex. It took me three tries to stoop drooling enough to be able to focus on editing, and at one point I contemplated taking a cold shower, before my second read. I have the feeling Michael will be very possisive of Kendall's ass, but I hope he'll be ready to let his man play there too. But they never got any further in their talk, so I'm guessing that will be the next step. I'm off to see if I'm right. I'm sure your readers are impatient for more. -
Phew, that was hot. Excuse me while I cool off for a bit and wipe my keyboard. Okay, it's nice to meet a couple with an uncomplicated love quickly moving onto a serious relationship. The hiding in a closet was that symbolic of him not being out at work ?

Very cute and well written as usual. For some reason the thing which made me laugh was Clayton's recap of how he had tried to gently decline offers at the gay bar when going out with Levi and his friends. Even if I did feel slightly sorry for the disappointed pretty boy.

Sometimes I really hate being right ! (more on that in the forum) When I read the chapter again, I winced at Neil's words: "I don’t want my life to become even more complicated – not just yet." Poor Neil, but I'm glad he feels strong enough to stand up for himself. Poor Liam, too. He's gonna have a hard time convincing Clarissa to help him, athough I think she'll just tease him for a while, before relenting. And for a moment I thought Ollie had blown the Alf cover. Maybe Neil will forget that hint with all the other things happening. Another interesting football match and Patrick got his wish of seeing the Leopards lose. But he doesn't know about Ty's rallying song in the changing room. I feel sorry for Roger, this may well be the end of his football career.

I liked the idea of the main god talking to his alter ego (Zeus and Jupiter). He is such an egomaniac that of course he'd prefer hanging out with himself, LOL. And of course he fears Gaia, after all she helped him overthrow his father, and I'm pretty sure she'd cut him the same deal if he disrespects her. But I always thought the sky was her lover and not Time. Although, I'm sure it takes more than one man to keep her happy. Now we want to know what they came up with to placate her.

Thank, Graeme, that was a sweet story. I'm still not sure how Tony has managed to avoid strangling Alex. He is so annoying, Grrr. Ethan must have the patience of a saint, or else he's able to tease back and spank Alex whenever needed. Like once a day or so.

Seriously Now! - An Epilogue, Sort Of…

Happy Valentine's Day, Carlos, hope you have as much fun as the people in this story. I'm still laughing about the Cupid's getting it wrong with the Angies and their reaction to Tony and Colt being able to see them. Hope we get to hear more about them. As always I need to pay close attention to who is saying what, you don't believe in making it easy for your readers, LOL. But that's OK, it's part of the charm and I love all of the banter. But I think my favorite character may actually be Shandy, her presentation makes me crack up and want to applaud every time.

Maybe the boys should spend time at Mikey's house too, if the presence of his friend makes his parents be present too. And Mikey's dad sounded eager to involve himself in the car restoration project - could this be something which brought them closer? Overprotective mums, GAH ! Drives me nuts too, my mum still does it to me, which is one reason I don't see her or talk to her as much as I should. So clever of Mikey's dad so see how good Jay could be for his son. I'm glad I got my wish of a Jay POV and I think it worked really well. It made the chapter a lot less anxious than it might have been. But I still let out a sigh of relief after I finished reading.

Thanks, DD. Yes, I'm not surprised this is so. It's a way of forcing people to be responsible about how much gas they use and how much they drive. Politicians also discuss other means to encourage people to use public transport and bikes. In addition, we tax cars heavily, particularly in Denmark. In fact, the taxes are so high, the car manufacturers set a lower initial price of cars in Denmark, in order to make the retail prices better after the tax percentage has been added. This means diplomats and other foreign people who don't have to pay VAT sometimes go to Denmark to buy their cars, since if they export the car from Denmark, they don't have to pay the Danish taxes.

Wow, I'd never have guessed this, AC. I love getting this sort of linguistic, historical information, so thank you very much for posting this.
