  1. Thanks Gary, you liking it means a lot to me. Hope you'll enjoy the sequel(s) too.
  2. Thanks AC, you pointed out the weak spot in my draft, which was just what I needed to chance the part I was dissatisfied with. Glad you liked the result.Rob - well he got fed up with Eric giving him the run-around every time he tried to bring up the subject. So he finally resorted to shock tactics. It worked, LOL.
  3. Yes, Sir ! Sequel coming up soon - and at some point I hope dating ensues or AC will roast my nuts.
  4. Well, I agree the talks were nicer in this prompt. But how can you consider it teasing when I did what people asked and wrote a sequel?
  5. I did mention it in the story note of ch 2, but maybe I should have made it clearer. And yes, I'm already thinking of the next prompt chapter, lol.
  6. Oh no, don't say it's too short! I'm trying to keep my prompt stories from morphing into a full blown novel, but I'm already failing partly, since I couldn't resist the temptation to continue with the same characters.I really want to do short self-contained chapters, which can be read independently of each other. But it's so difficult to keep it compact and concise. So please don't tempt me to make them longer !!

    Chapter 10

Well, I'm glad to see Todd getting involved with Neil and telling him to trust Clarissa. I hope Jim is doing the diary as instructed, so that next time the same guy attacks him, he has evidence. Poor Dave is getting worse, but in a way it's better that he won't go to the showers whether Jim is there or not since it shows Jim isn't the main problem.
  8. “You want me to do what?” My question ended in a squeak of disbelief. Not so much due to the request itself, but from the fact he had asked at all. WTF?! By the time I’d gotten over my shock, the idiot in front of me had recovered from the unexpected punch in the stomach. Rob grimaced and looked in the direction his brother had fled after hitting him. I could certainly understand Eric’s ire. Not only had his older sibling just outed him to me and my friend, he had gone on to suggest I ask Eric
  9. At least he did listen and acted accordingly. Personally, I think JP was the one who convinced Brad that he needed to heed the others. But that may be because I have a high respect for JP and his intelligence.
  10. Thanks JAR, I'm glad you liked it. You're welcome to borrow Rob/Bob but remember he's straight, lol. Though I guess you can make him gay if you want. Parallel universes and all that.
  11. I rejoice in the fact that Simon is done - done with the small minds of stunted people who are afraid of love and deny who they are. I'm proud of Sister Jodie for not ignoring the awful fact of 'inappropriate' behavior and for telling Simon that God made him and loves him and wants him to live unafraid and joyfully. Now we look forward to seeing what he does with his freedom. PS The analogy of being left-handed is so very apt. More on that in the forum.
  12. I was happy to see more of Marvin, and particularly to witness him getting rid of Lisa. The fact that it happened because she thought he was having an affair with Mikhail was utterly funny. Oh and I laughed when he said that the four friends knew all about each other. We know that's not true, lol. Mikhail doing some verbal bitch slapping was another high point. All in all a nice long satisfying chapter.
  13. Oh AC, you always make me laugh. Nelson and Eric may end up on a date, but right now they are both cringing over Rob's crude attempt at match-making.
  14. Yes, helpful but blundering sibs and friends can be quite embarrassing at times. But we forgive them for the good intentions. Thanks, and do write more prompts soon, I enjoy them.
  15. Since I gave up on BtB from the beginning, I guess I'm automatically a founding member of GUOR? But I couldn't care less about her, because Kier got to take Robin home. I bet their night is a lot more romantic and satisfying and hot than what poor Shas has to get through. And Sasha, we want to hear everything about their first morning together: sex, waffles, fruit, dogs, shower, sex, cuddles.... and maybe at some point worried parents trying to locate Robin.
  16. I'm not normally into phone sex, but I have to admit that was hot. But the idea that Kurt knows who Steve is was a nasty surprise - or maybe not.
  17. Thank you for the 'birthday' chapter. I love the story by now even though I had severe doubts when I started to read it and had a hard time relating to and liking the main characters. But I loved Jónas right away and his article was so cool. I'll try to do better about writing reviews from now on.
  18. I was going to retract on the term manipulative in relation to JJ, but now I'm not so sure. But of course he's not in the same league as Zach. Maybe it can be said that JJ manipulates his own behavior to conform to the expectations of Alex and hopes his actions will make Alex like him. Zach manipulates the emotions and opinions of people around him in order to gain an advantage or protect himself. But I guess since I approve of their intentions and goals, I'm fine with their methods. And Zach is telling the truth about his admiration for Will. I guess it's his dismissal of most people as stupid which grates, but at least he likes his coach.
  19. I want to shout and dance to celebrate Simon's courage in these two sub-chapters. He set his own convictions and good soul against the evil numbness of Father S and came out victorious. And he confronted Terry about his actions and dishonesty and asked the all important question: who are you trying to deceive, Jodie or yourself? And as you know I loved the spider analogy.
  20. This was a thought provoking story, but it was almost a shame Eric wasn't awake to hear his options. And I want to meet him again, if you ever get inspired.
  21. I can heartily recommend this story. I read the earlier version several years ago on another site, and I've just purchased the e-book (or the first one of them). I stayed up til 2am to finish it. If you like Rob Colton's The Degan Incident, you'll enjoy Taken, which I believe was written before Rob's story (and maybe even inspired him, who knows?). All I can say is, "Dammit, Dale, your life became exciting!"

    Or Colleagues

This was delightful, but left me with so many questions. If they don't know each other why does Nick want to ask him out? Or is that just Ben saying he should? But then he might have told his friend the same. Did he come over to Ben's place? Did they go out on a date? What happened then? How did Nick revenge himself on Ben? Or maybe they both did? This is why I 'hate' prompt stories, I want MORE.

    Prompt 336

This made me laugh. But what on earth was he doing moving furniture by himself ! That's the way to get a bad back. LOL Seriously, it was sweet and I like the use of the prompt in ways other than the obvious.
  24. Thanks. I'm already planning to edit for improvement, lol.Of course I've thought about what will happen afterwards. Maybe one day I'll write that story.
  25. Yep, dialogue is another thing I struggle with, lol. But Eric was formal on purpose for two reasons: with his brother because he was pissed and knows Rob hates it when he goes all high and mighty on him, and with Nelson because he was embarassed. Thanks for spotting the 'met' mistake, I'll correct it asap.
