    Squall Line

This story left me with a lot of questions, but this does not detract from the liking. Was Gerald not out to his sister and her husband ? If yes, why did they decide to put him in their will as responsible for their kids, since they apparently brought them up as Baptist-churchgoing bigots. And why did Gerald let them continue at the church rather than wean them away from hate ? Or did he only just take on the job as guardian ? In any case, he should tell the kids to enter the 21st century and become proper humans, preferably by paying for them to see a good therapist - which they should be doing anyway, if they witnessed their parents getting killed. As for Phillippe, I like his sensible and calm attitude. He tries to get the best out of his life and doesn't wallow in useless regrets. It seems like the calls from Gerald may be the push he needs to be more active in shaping his future. Friendships can be more valuable than romance at our age.
  2. I'm glad this topic was good for something.
  3. I'm glad the Elder and his family knew the truth and accepted it, even though they could not make their people see sense. Jair had a spark of the divine in him all along, and that enabled Epheriel to raise him as an archangel. They can be together forever, and maybe sometimes help humans like them during the centuries of persecution. Wonderful story, Thorn.
  4. As usual I have absolutely no idea.

    Tom & Marcus

I love the way Rudy casually dismisses Marcus' concern about being recognized in Scotland. But I'm sure Tom keeps 'the famous chef' on firm ground most of the time.

    Fire Punch

I'm glad his grandson forgave him, after he had learned his lesson. Maybe other of the fossil party participants will learn from this.

    The Fruitcake

So everyone who helped get the fruitcake to the right recipient got the reward they deserved. I like that idea. Now we just need the Norwegian prayer.
  8. I love the idea of a sentient tree making sure it went to the most deserving person / family to make their holiday bright.
  9. The review team is also grateful to @mollyhousemouse for giving us this recommendation, since apart from promoting a wonderful story it helped fill the gaps. Everyone can send reviews to Renee or me to be featured in the story blog. There are several vacant spots in 2020.
  10. lol, yeah, I was thinking of Peter and Patrick, but of course I mustn't forget Rob and Co.
  11. Yeah, I hope so too. I have every intention of getting back to the twins, but I think I need to focus on my other long story sitting unfinished. So for any potential new readers it's better to be honest about the status of this story. Thanks for caring, drought.
  12. Ahh, of course. - stupid of me, because it says so in the guide text. It's a shame, because story banners make the visual impression of the site much nicer than the empty blue space, I have right now. But what happened to the Spring 2017 Anthology banner ?
  13. I used to have a very nice story banner for my Clueless Camping story. For some reason it is gone, and I would like to add it again. This should happen in Step 2 of posting / editing according to the guide: However, I do not see an option to add a story banner, when I try to edit the story - nor when I go into Add a Story. I can see where to add the Story Cover Image, it's right below the copyright box. But that's not the same thing, right? Laptop, Windows, Google Chrome
  14. They definitely need to lawyer up and get Simon his own social worker, who understands about LGBT matters and what bigotry and lack of support from a parent can do to vulnerable teens. The next step is telling Simon's father they'll go to the press to expose him as a cyber-bully, his mother as a hateful old woman, and the church for threats to abuse a gay kid.
  15. I'm surprised not more people have read and commented on Thorn's story, but maybe they're waiting for the last chapter to post. I can recommend it, if you want an unusual and beautiful love story set in ancient times. Oops sorry @Thorn Wilde for spelling your name wrong. Too early in the morning.

    Story

If she had enough courage to have her baby without caring what other people thought, I'm not surprised she took this in her stride. I bet she would have even if she hadn't known.
  17. If Shane is only interested in giving blowjobs and nothing else, I suppose he wouldn't be able to cope sexually without a partner with a dick. However, all other kinds of sex would be possible with a non-binary partner. There are such things as strap-ons if needed. I can understand why Taylor was disappointed, and next time they may have to talk about the issue before getting to the point of intimacy, even though it's difficult.
  18. I have the feeling there are other people who resent Hilda and her way of exerting control and pushing her judgement on others. Maybe this will be their chance to leave bigotry behind. Thank God Colin came to his senses in time - or maybe the credit should go to Daniel who braved the lion's den to win his man.
  19. I'm glad Azazel was there to counter the nasty words of Metatron. Jair needs his angel, and their love is wonderful.

    Chapter 2

I think Fran may have saved two people, good for her. I liked that Malcolm could appreciate the silver lining of the cloud Aaron caused in his life. Let's hope it the beginning of something better for both of them. Who knows, Aaron might even be able to have a relationship in the future, if he keeps working on his humanity.

    Kieran & Kennedy

In spite of Kennedy deciding to hold the company news for the sake of Christmas jolly, he sensibly decides to tell Kieran when the opportunity presents itself. But I can understand why Rudy is reluctant to tell Trevor. I seems to recall he hates unpleasant news and unexpected changes.

    Rudy & Trevor

It' good to know Trevor and Rudy kept up the tradition of having Christmas with gay friends. I wonder if they've been to Scotland every year since they met, and who visited. Probably not Karl and his awful wife, who seems to be forever pregnant. I also noticed the hint of trouble when I edited, but I think it gets revealed in the next chapter, unless Brian is beeing sly.
  23. I agree to all of the above. @aditus and I had great fun writing together. I could probably name a few other characters from various GA stories, apart form Theo and Sablo, whom I'd like to 'borrow' for one of my stories. Cool question, and great AAA, Carlos.

  25. I like the concept of chaptered Anthology stories.
