In Europe, it depends on the country. Britain, France and probably other countries as well usually go back at the end of August or start September. In Denmark (and perhaps the other Nordic countries ? @Puppilull ?) school kids go back in the first half of August, and college (university) starts next week (primo September). Most people who work have three weeks summer holiday (out of five or six in total) and can place them at any time from end June to end August.

At least if Wade's mother arranged the kidnapping, Cameron was probably treated OK. And Lord Preston probably found out his current wife was behind the attack on Wade and his son, and he couldn't live with that, but on the other hand he didn't want the mother of his two other children convicted. This way they can tell her to behave or they'll leak the story.

I think you have shown how damaging internalized homophobia is, and how suppressing your sexuality can lead to all kinds of problems, because Loz is a completely different person now he's being honest about who he is. This is a Loz we can feel sympathy and hope for.

Good Vibes In An Uncool World
Timothy M. commented on ColumbusGuy's story chapter in Good Vibes In An Uncool World
Wonderful chapter, CG. I took the 'boys will be boys' comment to indicate Willem may have had a 'special' relationship with someone his own age, whether friend or former foe. I have visited some of those cemeteries in France and it is a sobering experience to walk along and seeing how young those guys were. Camp fires are fun when shared with good friends. Reminds me of the old adverts for the Danish Jolly Cola, though I can't find the one I'm thinking of, only these examples and one from the beach. Very 1970'ies most of them. -
Since Gideon has already shown he doesn't listen or understand anything Regan says, I'm not surprised Regan has chosen a 'show, not tell' approach.

Monday (Afternoon) - part 2
Timothy M. commented on Drew Payne's story chapter in Monday (Afternoon) - part 2
I'm so pleased Simon managed to tell his father and grandmother exactly what he thought of their behavior and that evil church. And I'm delighted his mother found a nice woman, who is a great step-mom to him. -
Monday (Afternoon) – part 1
Timothy M. commented on Drew Payne's story chapter in Monday (Afternoon) – part 1
At least he had a fairly happy childhood in his formative years, without the terrible influence of his grandmother and the religion of hate. -
Nasty, overprotective, controlling, stupid Alpha. I hope Regan causes you lots of grief and public humiliation.

The current theory is they were gang members from Sweden trying to impress other gangs. They've arrested one person and is looking for another. But the those thing is kept under wraps right now, so we don't know wtf is goinf on. But it did inspire a SATW comic https://satwcomic.com/double-attack

Drinks And Trolls Won’t Break My Bones
Timothy M. commented on Laura S. Fox's story chapter in Drinks And Trolls Won’t Break My Bones
I mostly did a like, so you would have the full range. But I did find a couple of things to laugh about. Mainly they was both of them are insisting on putting pride before sense and letting feelings rather than logic rule their interactions. No matter how angry Aidan is about what Heath did concerning his promotion, he should understand how all of Heath's reputation is based on him being honest and trustworthy. If it turns out he's being lied to about the ingredients, this will be a huge scandal. Trying to defend his boss is silly, when he should know the guy is an asshole and ruthless. -
A Long Way From Anywhere
Timothy M. commented on Parker Owens's story chapter in A Long Way From Anywhere
It's one thing to take off and fly. I'd like to see them land safely too. But I liked the subtle ways Justin tried to convey his interest in Bill, asking whether he chased ladies and seizing the chance to grip his shoulder in support. -
Well, from a strategic point of view it makes sense for the US. Harry S. Truman wanted to buy Greenland too.

I like Tracy less and less. He forces Jack to come out to him, then threatens to tell Jeff, informs Jack Jeff has a crush on him, and immediately hits on Jack and molests him. Well done on betraying Jeff and confirming your reputation as a predator. Jack's mom may be a bigot and have all the wrong reasons for saying he should stay away from Tracy, but I think Jack should come to the same conclusion. I'm glad he stood up to his mom and Jimmy, but I can see the wreck approaching too. He should talk to his father, who seems to be the only remotely sensible person in his life.
-
I'm just waiting to see the SATW comic which will arise from this. Neither could people in Greenland and Denmark. Some of the comments were quite funny.

And if it ends up being too late, they will regret not being proactive.

The Mother Of All Misunderstandings
Timothy M. commented on Laura S. Fox's story chapter in The Mother Of All Misunderstandings
Well, since I think Aidan should have realized all on his own how his boss and indeed the whole company are totally fucked up and unfair, I find his reaction another sign of his immature and naive outlook on life. I get that he was surprised, but he should have listened to Heath explain. Heath should let him stew until he comes to his senses. The only bright spot is that when Aidan's mother call, he can tell her he broke up with his boyfriend, because she was so negative and nosy. That should teach her, especially if he then says he'll never tell her anything about any future boyfriends. But of course, he's too insecure and wishy-washy to do that. -
But at least he saw that the bigots knew they were wrong, because they dispersed as soon as the tutor arrived.

Featured Story: Little Ms. Who
Timothy M. commented on Renee Stevens's blog entry in Gay Authors News
It's a very special story, even with all the heart-breaking parts. -
Compatible in bed does not necessarily mean they'll work out as a couple otherwise. I hope Regan stays firm about his wishes for independence and makes Gideon revise his stupid assumptions and opinions.
-
Nope, I don't like Gideon either. I'm still trying to decide which like to choose: or .

Have a nice weekend, I'm busy with work at the moment, so that's why I'm not around so much. Hope you're all OK. We've had a bit of excitement in Copenhagen the last few days, some idiots blew up the front of the Tax Revenue Office one night and the entrance to a local police station last night. No one was hurt, but we're not really used to anyone blowing things up with dynamite. Apparently, there have been other similar incidents this year, hitting a few businesses and cars. None with injuries or fatalities, but the tax office explosion was right opposite a train station where a few people were waiting for our local subway, so they had something of a shock. Let's hope the police catches the perpetrators.

Great challenge and Maurice is now their ally. I don't think there was a cliff hanger, just a pointer to a surprising but logical conclusion. If the opal is a Realm Stone, maybe it's the one belonging to the Dead Realm. Wouldn't it be cool if Kieran could bring it back to life ? But would he then need to reside there as Realm Lord ? Will he want that if all his friends except Mr B goes back to Earth ? I'm pretty sure Kieran won't be separated from Rhys, but perhaps they can be together on Earth for as long as Rhys lives, and Ranevargar and Maurice can oversee Kieran's Realm until he returns. But first hey have to free Rane, defeat Maynor and confront the High King.
-
They've reached their destination and overcome so many obstacles with a combination of cleverness, talent and Kieran's power. I wonder who put up the mind barrier, since Ranevargar didn't know about it? Will getting past it alert someone ? Hopefully, Krol will deal with the monsters.
-
Ugh, I got behind on my commenting, even though I kept up with reading. But I can see everyone else have covered all the topics. I think it was very mature of Kieran to decide to stop worrying about the High King possibly being his father. He needs to focus on the Maurice situation.

A Danish expert debunked that one in our news, as soon as it came up. He says no research supports this myth. Nothing political about discussing this myth. After all, the idea is common everywhere, and lots of people believe this, not just politicians, since it's deceptively logical to the human mind (says the Danish expert in the article).
