    Epilogue

Jonas may be upset, but I think Opie did the right thing with his dad. The alternative was eating him or stomping on him, and I don't thing Jonas would have liked that either. I'm still trying to guess who all the strange people are and why anyone wanted to meet them. Great story.
  2. I'm not really a big fan of Christiania, and I think Russ is a little too innocent to be exposed to the idea. Jacob is paying for himself, and I think Isa is trying to spend money to make up for whatever failings she has as a mom as well as get Russ out of the reach of his father. But I like that you are critical of the concept, it's giving me ideas.

    Story Blurbs

Has anyone else ever encountered the opposite problem as a reader ? That the title and the blurb draw you in, but the story itself is awful ?
  4. I'm beyond pissed with everyone but Robbie right now. I'll be back when I've cooled down a bit. (Great chapter, Dodger) Ha, I don't have to add anything, @spikey582 and others said it all below.
  5. That's a very good point, and in Denmark most people would react just the way you do. Being boyfriends: great, having sex: fine, living together: no problem, getting married: what ?! And in fact, the marriage idea mainly comes from trying to find a way for Russ to stay in Denmark. Not that Jacob isn't serious in his commitment - and he's been in love with Russ for a few weeks by now. But still, he wouldn't suggest marriage so soon under normal circumstances.
  6. Some Danes learn the hard way, that speaking Danish when abroad isn't always safe and secret. (not me, thankfully)

    Story Blurbs

Titles and story blurbs, the bane of my existence as a writer - and sometimes as a reader. I'll just have to be grateful people read my stuff anyway (mainly all my good friends here at GA. y'all)
  8. I'm sure he didn't notice at the time, but it may occur to him later. But most likely not, and Tony won't remind him.

    Life Lessons

Kudos to Gloria for trying to be a good friend to Joy and a fair woman concerning Geoff. I hope he'll learn about it eventually, if nothing else through Tony and he meeting her in the supermarket again. Even if his mother doesn't come around it will reinforce the message that's she's wrong and other people her age can see his worth. I'm glad Geoff took the next step in their physical relationship, and Tony will be happy to let him practice as much as he wants.
  10. They're slowly building their lives back up, doing the things they love and spending time together. This is important to smooth over the shock Geoff has had. I'm not surprised Zoe went off in a rage, she's as protective as Tony in her own way. I'd love to see her give Joy a piece of her mind, but I have the feeling it wouldn't really be helpful in reconciling her and Geoff.
  11. Well, at least Geoff know knows Tony isn't the only man to find him sexy, even if Jason was joking. And the fact Tony didn't know about Stuart on Facebook also showed he's no longer associating with that creep. Jason will love to spread the rumor just to poke fun at Stuart, so he does have his use, like when he warned Tony. It was good to see Geoff and Tony pick up the pieces and consider their options of living together.
  12. Tony is perfect for Geoff, kind, nurturing and patient, and I think he likes that Geoff needs him to be protective - in a good way. They bring out the best in each other, and the 'faults' they see in themselves are often those traits which endear them to their partner. They really do make great soul music. Joy should consider herself lucky she has a good friend who is sensible and tolerant. But since she's never appreciated her son, I doubt she'll be grateful about anything. She'll end up a very lonely, bitter woman, and serves her right.

    Chapter Twelve

I think it still makes sense Jordan doesn't tell her. He doesn't know whether Noah will reject him again, or if they have to be friends only for a long time before they can move on. Plus Noah should be the one to decide how best to tell Jen. And honestly - what does she have to be furious about ? They've been on a couple of dates, no more. Has he even kissed her ? It's not like he's strung her along, lied about his feelings, slept with her or anything. She'll be disappointed and upset, but she's much to honest and level-headed to have fallen head over heels in love or even pretend to herself she's been cruelly jilted.

    Chapter Twelve

I'm glad Jordan did the right thing and broke up with Jen as fast as he could, although I think he should have done it in front of Noah (after the exam), so she could have had him to console her immediately.

    Daniel

I'm so glad Michael has finally found out the truth about Daniel. I hope he acts on it.

    Siegfried

Poor Siegfried probably hasn't had many chances to practice, but at least he did his best and they parted on friendly terms. I'm enjoying this short snippets and I'm now thinking I may want to see the Witcher movie (or is it series ?) when it comes out.

    Chapter 13

I can't tale credit, since Neil mentioned it in ch. 4.

    Chapter 10

Somehow, I don't like the fact that in ch. 3 I came up with the same argument as Mason's dad. Even if I'm proud of predicting the apartment sharing.

    The Buckle

Now Eli will have the chance to tease Rex about being besotted.
  20. Answers sent for all three questions. Probably not much use, except perhaps the editor one.

    Lambert

LOL, I liked this. Geralt punctured Lambert's pomposity just enough. I bet the encounter will become a fond memory eventually.

    Eskel

At least their teacher only teased them gently about it. But I'm surprised they never had a repeat at the time.

    Questions

Did Ritalin even exist in the 1970'ies ? I thought it was a fairly new drug. Or perhaps it's only its use for ADHD which is new.
  24. Have you read any books or stories where dolphins were important characters ? (author examples in spoiler) If so, did they influence you?

    Chapter 13

I agree about Clarissa being annoying and abrasive, but what I like about her is that she is intelligent and cares about other people, even if she shows it by meddling and telling them what to do. She can back off (as she did with Neil) and admit she's mistaken and wrong, and she can even make jokes about her temperament and needs - I see her demands for someone to entertain her when Deon is away as a way of admitting her vulnerability cloaked in tough 'selfish' talk. She's a loyal friend, and I'll be able to forgive her behavior easily if she helps Daphne and takes on anyone who tries to bully her at uni or elsewhere. Karen would never be friends with her and listen to her, if Clarissa didn't have a lot of good points too. The brat is almost as pushy and manipulative as Clarissa, but he gets away with it by being charming (and male ?).
