I guess the Earth Mother understands the concept of genetic diversity. Just like mates from different packs, human mates will strengthen the gene pool. ?
I am still not getting the trash can. I have cleared cookies and restarted both the site and my entire computer, still no trash can. What am I doing wrong?
If time doesn't permit there is nothing says you can't publish anyway! I know a couple stories that started out intended for an anthology but either grew beyond word limits or the author ran out of time. They were still great reads!
I was considering the idea. I am really hesitant due to an incident when I was in my early 20's. My then boyfriend's mom was making chicken in an old fashioned pressure cooker when it decided to pop its top and splater an entire chicken across the kitchen through the steam vent. Fortunately we were all in the next room at the time and no one got hurt, but we spent the next several hours scraping and scrubbing chicken from the ceiling and everywhere else. Who would have thunk a whole chicken could escape through an hole smaller than my wedding ring? The only thing left in the pot were the bones!
I just want to put in that authors should remember that editor's can't always drop things two days before deadline to process a story, especially long ones. Had Sasha waited till even two weeks till deadline, with my current "real world" work load we would never have made it!
Past Sasha! They haven't met Rah yet.
One should not write anything they have insufficient information on, but they should not limit themselves arbitrarily by race, Creed, color, or any other factor. One must simple do ones homework. Research, research, research!
Nicely done. You captured the capacity for love many Downs Syndrome individuals have beautifully. So many people have no idea just how deeply a DSI can feel.(That is how we abreviate it in our case notes in the therapy program @ our barn.) In addition to being a well written and enjoyable story, you may just have given some of us "normals" a new insight. "Normals" is what one of my DSI riding students calls anyone who does NOT have Downs!
While a tad cruel, I can easily see any number of my friends engineering this sort of thing, bit a gay and straight version.
Well written, imaginative, and sharp. Well done.
Lyssa, you are going to love CJ and his extended family. He ain't your average teen! But start with the first story. While the current book will make sense on its own, the back story is important to really understand CJ.
