Tim, I agree whole heartedly but we do have to start somewhere.
Lux, I am not sure why you think we ladies would take offence to Tim's words. They may be a tad idealistic, but they are definitely on the right track.
Like Gary said, just drop in and say hi occasionally and we can be patient. It's the not knowing we can't stand. Several of us have done the cancer thing. Feel free to pm me if you need to talk/vent. Your stories got me through 6 months of chemo and radiation. I would be more than happy to help any way I can!
Short update. As most of you know, Sasha and his husband added a baby to the family last October, and as anyone who has raised children can tell you that turns a household on its ear. He is doing fine, baby is happy and healthy, and Sasha is starting to mumble about voices in his head again.
If every bad guy(gal) in a story turned good by the end, the stories would get boring! Doesn't happen in real life, shouldn't happen in fiction! Part of the reason Gary's stories are so great is because he tries to keep them real.
I think we all are hoping for the best for Mark, and that he is just super busy in real life, that there is not something seriously wrong.
We miss you Mark!
All good things must end eventually Clo, but Gary always seems to have another character waiting in the wings shouting to make it to print.
Treading water is an excellent read. Catch you all on discussion night.
The fact you came this far in life without having to face this sort of stupidity and bigotry says a lot about how far the world has come. Lend some of the strength you have developed to that friend. Sounds like he needs a bit of support.
