    There is also a world of difference in the maturity level between a 12 yr old and a 15 yr old in general and then the 15 could be mature beyond his years - or could be on a par with the 12 yr old. Everything would have to be taken into consideration when deciding just how open to be with the young man.

    Fortunately, or maybe unfortunately, as they get older this is less and less of an issue. In fact when Wings was an older teen (17 to 19 range) very little I said was considered important. Thank god now that she is in her mid 20's things are leveling out!

    Like I said - men and women are hinged differently - both physically and mentally. What is acceptable in a stag or hen grouping is different from mixed company.

    Interesting that you take umbrage with what I said when I thought I was agreeing with you - that while it may have been slightly out of line it was in keeping with the sort of banter the elite eight usually engage in, and Cesar handled it nicely - using humor to put a stop to it. In the age of the internet the best any parent can do is teach the child to the best of our abilities and pray it sank in. One has to let go and let their child make their own choices sooner or later, and I am a proponent of teaching them well and going for sooner when we are around to help clean up the mess if they screw up. And fictional they may be - but I have had first hand experience with parents like Lourdes and Rich. It damn near got me arrested!

    I have to admit, I needed to go read the reviews after reading about an "eeeewwww factor" here before I felt I could comment. Were some of the things said to CJ a bit inappropriate? Sure they were - but guess what? Even the most proper and polite people will make an inappropriate comment once in a while. Cesar voiced his opinion on it, and I didn't think any of it was particularly "eeewww" worthy. As for giving CJ some of the details of the various couples sex lives, I can't help but feel honesty up front outweighs the idea that it is inappropriate. The couple who include a third in their play occasionally would be quite upset if CJ heard about a third party involved through the grape vine and jumped to a wrong conclusion. Perhaps it is hypocritical and wrong, but dad's and mom's are always going to see things differently. No matter how hard we strive for equality - the bottom line is that men and women are just put together differently, both physically and mentally. In my own case I am the more open of the two with my daughter, and we have had several conversations that have sent my husband in search of other activities while blushing furiously, including the day I put condoms in my daughters purse before she left the house prom night. For me the part of the story that fires me up is CJ's mother. 'Tis a good thing that she is a fictional character I will never run into. Were they real and Cesar a friend of mine, Lourdes would need to avoid me for a very long time after what she has done.

    Perhaps working in conjunction with Tiff? He can choreograph, she deal with the actual coaching of kids, and run their own training facility? I cannot picture him actually trying to coach a moody diva teenager like himself!

    If it is blacks play the game is over with knight to kings knight 1 What's the catch here? White theoretically could not leave himself in check at the end of a move I think it has been too long since I have played! I must be missing something!

    I am still trying to figure out why someone would want to stand on a flimsy board on top of one of the most powerful forces in nature in the first place! I'll watch from the beach thank you very much!

    This is one of those times I break my own rule and say again how well you are doing. Using his mom's straightforward approach to make Michael realize just what he had walked away from was done very well. I can't wait to see how he goes about fixing things now. A little birdy tells me it is not going to be as easy as one might think!

    When JJ was hospitalized after his reaction to the molestation and the subsequent death of the coach, I am sure a full battery of tests for HIV and other STD's were included as part of his care. He may not realize it, but no doctor treating a traumatized teen who had been sexually abused would have skipped that! The boy is 16, not quite 17. He has just discovered that sex can be a good thing. He is a walking hormone and if he was NOT thinking with his dick it would shock me!

    Feel it. Like all the parts of grieving it is there and necessary. Don't hesitate to talk to friends, family, or even a professional if you can't get a handle on it. We will keep you and yours in our thoughts.

    All intriguing information, but raised a question in my mind. Isolated rat with nothing to do but coke overindulged until it OD'd. Rat in a busy world with buddies ignored the coke and had a great rat life. What of a rat that is caught between the two worlds? Had a taste of the coke but also had the richer environment?
