  1. Um . . . yeah! Dude, Demoncrest, ha-ha - welcome to GA!
  2. Speculation. Pure speculation. I've never been able to figure out cats. Though I must say, I think you may have got it somewhat right.
  3. Hello Bryce, welcome to GA. Yea, another author joins the site!
  4. Hello Shahmaran, welcome to GA, it's nice to have you with us.
  5. I'm pretty sure this is the first story I read when I purchased the Premium Access. I'm glad to see this up there. I have been considering reading it again, it's that good, along with the two companion books.

    Art?

Art has no definition, yet it can be defined. Art is subjective and expressive, beautiful and debase, literal and figurative, and still yet elusive. Conception can be the plan or intention and yet be the act, and communication and expression are not all that different. Art is a word that is expansive, in that it incompasses many forms, and it evolves over time. You cannot define it, truly, because it also changes with time and fashion--what is hot today, may not be hot tomorrow-- and yet again, there is junk-art and fine-art. Come on, enjoy, and be done with it.

    Art?

And arguing for the sake of argument has been elevated to an art form in this thread, and nothing is gained by it. Yet still, it is pursued, and is amusing.
  10. The shortest chapter yet but it captured a big event well. Some of the crew's thinking is understandable, on the one hand and on the other, pretty misguided considering its a stable crew having been with the ownership for many years. I do understand that the turbulence is basically unheard of in the transits but folks know, at least intellectually, that the ship is sound. Ah well, I guess it's just human nature to worry, even In the future, and even when worrying has no benefit. But this too is captured well in the writing Dave, kudos for that.
  11. A.A.R. welcome to G.A. Glad that you found us. Kitt's right, there are a lot of ways to participate on site.

    Prologue

Since I've read all of your prompts . . . Oh well, it's not the destination, it's the journey, they say. Nice intro to the tale, Valkyrie.
  14. I feel you, I really do. What you say has a relevance to more than just writing. We do this sort of thing because the new and shiny always seems to draw attention. The new is less complicated somehow and therefore, easier to deal with. Although it could be, it isn't necessarily so and could be just as hard, or harder, to work on/with as something older. Remember, L&G and Nemesis are old friends and deserving of attention and just as it is when you make new friends, you can't neglect the old ones and expect them to still like you when you find the time for them. Having now been neglected, it's going to take some work to get back those relationships. Believe me, they are worth it and you know it. That's why you're thinking about them, because you know they are still good friends and deserving of your attention. Now you just have to work on rebuilding the relationships and if they begin in starts and fits, that's okay. As long as you continue to work on them, you will come together eventually.
  15. Hello there to you too. Welcome to GA.

    Any Port in a Storm

The yummy boys comment had me thinking things might go bad. This was inventive and fun, Kitt.
  17. Such good writing Dave. Am I engaged? Hell, yes! Am I intrigued? Absolutely! Go, do your thing, and continue to bring on the 'quality gay fiction.'
  18. Hello Lans. Welcome to a great community of writers and readers. Cheers!

    Chapter 63

Love vibes? That cracked me up. As always, loving the story and I appreciate the new chapter. If I had one thing to offer, it would be that feel good sincerity permeating the chapter does begin to feel too overarching by the end. I'm all for these great and caring relationships and that's absolutely part of the stories appeal, but unless you're amping up for a crash soon -- or sainthood for this extended family -- pushing the 'feel good' here feels a little akin to overreaching on what is all ready a well recognized and good thing.

    Chapter 31

To add to Stephen's comment, that and how important David's graduation was to him stuck out for me. Still, that was one heck of a chapter. Brian . . . well, he's some kind of saint, isn't he?

    Chapter 19

I'm thinking that last line really does sum it up for Luke at this point in time. That was an exciting and enjoyable chapter. No offering too much detail for us folks that don't know the game, you made it sound appealing.
