It doesn't seem that Abel III is bored, bored, bored anymore. He has plenty to occupy his mind. You've made a good case for him being a responsible young man and one might presume the data-dump and the subsequent mind links would have a way of reinforcing responsibility. After that shower scene and that kind of sexual adventure . . . Well, he's awake now, isn't he?
Explaining the processing of the data-dump was well thought out and the linking, at least the human part, was highly plausible. The explanation of how a mental link with the computer was made and how, needed more polish in the reasoning or technicality of it. On the other hand, how Able III brought in his Grandfather and partner to the link once it was established was accomplished well. Perhaps the telekinesis is part of the reasoning, although that hasn't been noted as such--still this part of his ability is exciting.
