    Chewing gum

The person that chomps their gum open-mouthed is likely to chew their food the same way. Eww! On topic: Probably not a good time to chomp gum when in front of an authority figure. Such as the police officer pointing his gun at you for gross behavior in public. Chewing sugarless gum (with mouth closed) does have dental benefits.

    Changes

Yes, Irritable1 is right, that's intense. I wish you well in making your decisions.
  3. Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!! You sure went over-the-top with this post, hh5. Did you leave anything out?

    Chapter 2

It's like they say . . . He doth protest too much, therefore, he must resemble the thing he doth protest! Jeremy could have played that off as a joke, but then we'd have a different story. No, sir!

    Chapter 1

Sasha, you have done that thing you do so well . . . captured my attention, yet again.
  6. I can see where that telepathy would come in real handy like, and so does Abel III. At least, he is using his ability in a reasoned way, and good thing. I liked the analogy between silencing and being made sightless; after discovering the ability, that is exactly what it must seem like, I'm sure. Keep em coming, Dave!
  7. It doesn't seem that Abel III is bored, bored, bored anymore. He has plenty to occupy his mind. You've made a good case for him being a responsible young man and one might presume the data-dump and the subsequent mind links would have a way of reinforcing responsibility. After that shower scene and that kind of sexual adventure . . . Well, he's awake now, isn't he? Explaining the processing of the data-dump was well thought out and the linking, at least the human part, was highly plausible. The explanation of how a mental link with the computer was made and how, needed more polish in the reasoning or technicality of it. On the other hand, how Able III brought in his Grandfather and partner to the link once it was established was accomplished well. Perhaps the telekinesis is part of the reasoning, although that hasn't been noted as such--still this part of his ability is exciting. Another fine chapter, DDK.

    Chapter 1

It could be argued that the discussion concerning same sex relationships between consenting adults who happen to be related is moot, that is, if the issues of power, control, force or obligation have been disproved. Since none of these issues seem to be a defining factor, I can't see any reason to be repulsed by it. You have created a solid, believable foundation for your story, DDK. I look forward to reading the rest of it.
  9. Hmm, that was interesting. Michael, missing for three days--odd--and just what has he been doing during that time? Who was it that convinced Stephanie Allen to testify? Hmm. Pretend there are two Wednesdays this week. Keep those chapters coming K.C.
  10. I enjoy this no little bit. Must think of interesting questions to add to the queue. Still thinking, haven't forgotten Dark.

    Chapter 28

Great chapter. Very exciting - the story is exciting, but yeah . . . Great chapter.
  12. That was marvelous!

    Tell Me . . .

Thank you, Lisa. No, no one owes me a poem, and certainly not the one who inspired this one. If I may hijack the reply, I meant to say previously get B. Cumberbatch to read my poem aloud - well, that may be more opportunity for goose bumps.

    Tell Me . . .

Thanks, Thorn. If I could only get Benedict Cumberbatch to read it. I do imagine it.

    Tell Me . . .

If you read my second blog post, you will find that my only other attempt at poetry was half of a lifetime ago. We'll see.

    Tell Me . . .

    Yes, it is mine. Thanks
  20. My poor, poor attempts at something of which I know nothing about. All poems rated mature even if perhaps not needful of the rating.
  21. Lies, sweet–sweet, lies breathing caresses against your ear Truth pressed upon your lips telling secrets—bold secrets Laughter in defiance of truth holding a world in abeyance My hands advance my persuasion I tell you these things

    Epilogue

The End. To think, it all began with a prompt story--imagination can take you anywhere. One aspect, and for me a special one, of the story that I enjoyed was the friendship between Daniel and Robbie. Their relationship was unfailingly convincing throughout the story. Nicely done, Valkyrie.
  23. It's not all doom and gloom Thank you Suvitar.
