    Art?

I saw this in Madrid and it's stunning. This is no small work, Guernica, as it is about eleven-and-a-half feet (3.5 m) tall and around twenty-five-and-a-half feet (7.8 m) long. It makes you sad to look at it, and thoughtful. In 1937, when this was completed, Picasso's art would arguably be considered modern art, I'm thinking.

    Sound Bites

"Try it again, and I will kill you!" "Ah, shut up, Johnny. It's just mud." "Yeah, but did ya have to hit me so hard, Mark?" "Don’t be such a big baby." "Do that thing with your tongue again, Mark." "You liked that, did ya?" "Tastes good, like spearmint." "Scoot over here, Johnny." "You keep doin' that, you're going to make me fall in love with you." "Oh yeah? What is it you think I'm doing, Mark?" "You keep lookin' at me like you do; I can't think right, John." "Yeah?" "What

    Prompt 332

Insecurity comes in all forms and beauty really does belong to the eye of the beholder.
  6. Happy Birthday Stellar!
  7. You bought a free standing home then - older, newer? which neighborhood did you choose? My partner and I bought into a 150 year old townhouse in the Southend 14 yrs ago. One of five condos and the repair expenses are shared, but it seems like they've been non-stop over the years. It's a lovely space, don't get me wrong--we love it, but I hope you don't have to deal with repairs as much as us over the years.
  8. Happy Birthday W_L and many more!
  9. Coin in the Fountain is a great tale. Sometimes, you get what you pay for!

    Chapter 30

Thanks for reposting your story. Please continue. I'm enjoying it immensely.
  11. Welcome to membership Chris. I think many of us read on GA before signing up, including me. Remember, membership has its privilege, now you can like and review and comment all that you want.
  12. This is an extremely interesting story. You've paid a lot of attention to detail and it shows. Great story telling Dave!
  13. Good luck and best wishes for finding that special place.
  14. This was one of the more humorous scenes that I have read in a while. Guys in wheelchairs tend to be good at cunnilingus, so stands to reason they'd be good at fellatio - had me snorting - as did the practice run with the fingers. I laughed aloud at a couple of things as well. Zu's time alone moment doing research . . . I think you nailed it!

    Chapter 10

Did that chapter just end with a send? That's going to freak those boys out a bit. Of course, our elemental, psychic friends should be gathering allies, because whomever is after them is likely to be very organized. Next chapter . . . Flame On?
  16. Welcome to joining up on GA, Jared. Have you read the Help topic located in the maroon bar up top yet? If you can't find the answer there, you're welcome to PM me.
  17. A lovely chapter. Just . . . lovely!
  18. This is a story that is worth the price of admission. Sign up for a month if that's what you can spare, read the story and others, and support GA in the process. Who knows, you might want to continue your support and have access to some great writing in the future - found only on Premium Access.
  19. How do you do this thing you do so well. That's rhetorical, but you do it so well!

    Vacation

You know what . . . glad to have ya back! My partners luggage went missing once and showed up days afterward. When it finally showed up . . . His underwear was missing!
  21. Good thing you started a forum thread because I missed this originally. Carringtonrj states the facts very well. I can't disagree. I feel it also adds to the larger story, it's not just a little something extra, it's an important moment.

    Starting Over

A deeply moving story that makes a strong appeal to the heart. I like your use of the two kangaroos as talismans of faith and protection and love. That these ideals can be passed on makes the story compelling. You've written a fine story DynoReads.

    Chapter 1

K.C. - what you did to me: I sensed it coming and was sucked in anyway. I could almost grieve for them both. Stop that!! Well done, sir.

    Chapter 1

Big Moshe likes to touch and quick Lisco likes to be forward and invalid Miah really wants to be the filling in the middle even while making excuses. What to do; what to do? You had me chuckling with the back and forth banter and the nurse's shenanigans--and again a few times throughout--but the beginning also helped to define their personalities well. I did not go back and re-read the first story and I felt that this let me settle into the tale nicely. The electronic gadgetry was neat and did not overtax the imagination - basically, an extension of what we have now. There is a lot going on this getting to know each other chapter of their lives. We learn bits and pieces about all of them and it holds a person's interest. Good descriptive elements - I especially like the flower that smells like everyone's favorite scent. I'd like one of those. I'd also like to know just what that scent is? - There are so many. I get the sense that Moshe and Lisco truly are alien in the way you capture their disconnection from the human condition while at the same time capturing what may be the best part of it. It makes them just odd enough (aside from their true likeness) to be from someplace else. Miah, on the other hand, is very human indeed. I like your story very much Cia. I look forward to its continuation.
