It's nice out at the moment, but supposed to get up to 89F today. The cats have a vet appointment today. I'm trying a mobile vet service to see if it's less stressful on everyone. I can't get Joker into a cat carrier, so I'm hoping this will go smoother since there's no need for the carrier. Fingers crossed we all emerge unscathed!

The only way I would eat applesauce when I was a kid was if I doused it with cinnamon. I think there was more cinnamon than applesauce.

I had ham, bacon, cheese, and cauliflower soup. I was out of broccoli, so had to use cauliflower 'pearls'. It was just as tasty.

Like a sensory deprivation tank? That's a big nope for me. I'm claustrophobic, so can't stand the idea of being shut in somewhere, especially with water. I like the idea of darkness and silence, though.

@Marty I was going through more boxes of stuff and came across my "Ireland Box". I started it when I was a freshman in high school. It contains a couple of National Geographics with articles on Ireland, tourist information, newspaper articles about Ireland, maps, and a report I wrote in 1986 about the history of Ireland. I wrote it for extra credit because I was obsessed with all things Irish and wanted to show off my knowledge One day, I will visit there.

This brought back memories of air raid drills when I was in elementary school. I remember watching films about Hiroshima and Nagasaki and the horror I felt learning that history. The poem is, unfortunately, still relevant today, and I fear will always be so. Thank you for sharing.
