This interlude gave us great insight into Travis. I felt his loneliness and discontent. I think we now have our answer to the scar question too, even though it wasn't explicitly stated. I am surprised it's Travis making the first move, though. I can't wait for what's next. I have a feeling that Ben may not welcome him back with open arms. Great chapter. I'm salivating for more already!

I loved this, tim. The descriptions were very vivid and I thought the twist of having an animal turn into a human instead of the other way around was very clever. I look forward to reading more.

Just a quick editing note. You're missing 'to' in the following sentence: The world felt black now, jagged and impossible, and he had no more strength give. Now that that's out of the way...fantastic chapter. I was worried when you started the chapter at the hotel, wondering what happened, and I love how you revealed everything as we needed to know it. The connection between Travis and Ben felt even stronger to me, despite the fact that they are now separated. Travis is feeling it as keenly as Ben and I wonder how long it will be before one contacts the other...and who will be doing the contacting. I was mentally screaming at Ben in the hotel's gym to not be an idiot and take that guy's keycard. I let out a big sigh of relief when he didn't. I cringed at the conversation with Audra. I wonder if she has any idea how hurtful her words were. Yet another great chapter. I can't wait for more!

I agree with Reader. You are being way nicer than I'd be. I'd be contacting him about this, not waiting for him to contact me. Like you said, this is a highly personal story to you and took a lot of time, creativity, and work. For someone to profit off this and, while not explicitly stated is certainly implied, claim it as their own is reprehensible. He owes you answers, at the very least. If this is legit, he should have contacted you prior to production and given credit where it's due. I'm a skeptic by nature, and this is raising a lot of red flags to me. We're all here to defend you have your back. I hope it's sorted out soon.

This guy is clearly trying to pass off your work as his own. The whole thing sounds fishy to me. That's an incredibly low amount to produce a film. While the stated intention is admirable, his methods are not OK, IMO. I'd be livid, if I were you.

Thanks, Lisa! I'm so happy you liked the story, despite the genre. Sorry you found it confusing. I spent a lot of time working on the terminology and building the foundation. It's a huge story, so I suppose it's not surprising that some of it was lost in translation, so to speak. Maybe that's why it's not getting a lot of reviews. I wanted to show the contrast between the two sides with the formal manner and traditions of the aunt/uncle and the more open, loving nature of the grandparents. I am planning on continuing the story, so hopefully that will help clear up any confusion. Thanks for the review!
