Nah, I'm happy, taking a break from work by lurking at G.A. The person below me thinks that Graeme did a spectacular job by making his first 1000 posts in the RECORD time of 5 1/2 months!!

I think Sir Humphry winning most of the time was what made it so realistic. I've heard several medical people opine that hospitals would run much more smoothly without patients, so perhaps they were on to something?

I have no idea what you could possibly be referring to... Why, the next thing you know, you will be accusing me of using cliffhangers... Less that 48 hours, in fact... What you did with 13 was, IMHO, daring. I don't think anyone else could have pulled it off, but you did. As for your "Drug problem", don't worry about it. As long as you don't make a mistake on the plural of "Goat", I'm sure it won't be too big an issue.

This political satire from the BBC is my favorite TV show of all time. If you haven't seen it, it is WELL worth seeing. I prefered the old "yes, minister" to "yes, Prime minister" but both are superb. For anyone into political comedy, it can't be beat. The official site is here Any other "Yes, Minister" fans here?

Now we have something else to blame Steve for: Global Warming! My hunch was that Jacob and Matt would jointly decide to ummm, "get together" with Val. My guess is that Jacob doing this like he did will surely have some ramifications for his relationship with Matt. It is after all a very new relationship, and I'm betting that Matt, once he he thinks on it, will not be at all pleased over the seduction (and I agree, that is what it was.) It was clearly pre-meditated and didn't just happen. The fact that Jacob didn't discuss it with Matt first is IMHO going to come back to bite him. Steve did something here that I didn't think could be done: wrote a very long, yet interesting sex scene. I'm not fond of large or numerous sex scenes in stories, but this one was superbly done. I suspect that there will be real fireworks, especially if Matt and/or Val discover Jacob's kiss with Brendon. Superbly done, Steve!

I think it was strategy on Garret's part! Think about it: Garret attacking his own main base and seat of power is, certainly, a move that Leonov would never expect.... Seriously though, what are Leonov's strategic options now? I don't see him being the type to just sit still and fight a conventional losing battle. He is now definitely in "high risk" mode, because he has literally nothing to lose. So, what are his options? If he has some unconventional trick to threaten a planet with destruction, he would likely use it now. (Goodby Pelladon?). Or, what about an armed strike into the Empire . That would likely bring the Sol Empire into the war. True, maybe not on his side, but at this point, he has nothing to lose, so a long shot is preferable to a certain defeat.

Totally agreed! Brian definitely has some work cut out for him on this one. Just a hunch, but I'll bet I know who has the hardest time believing him when he decided to 'fess up about being a time traveler: Davey!
