Sorry for silly questions, but I think I get it now. Just so easy to be tricked by all those vowels. -
In that weird state between being asleep and waking up, my little story hatched this morning. Typed it up now and I think it's told me what it wants to be. A short one, but maybe I'll add a few more words when tweaking. Just to make sure: doomed is a one beat word, right? I say it out loud and only hit my thigh once, but I want to make sure...

Well, mixed feelings here. I love your stories, but I'm not really feeling this start. Doug is a bit too crass when it comes to women. He sounds rather immature, though he must be well into his thirties. Describing women as whores is not exactly the sign of a good person. They should be planning on how to find a woman to play along, not someone to trick into marriage.

I'm glad you feel comfortable enough to share your story with us. Personally, I have (perhaps a bit naively) just assumed you're a guy, going by your alias here. Though I must confess I haven't given it a lot of thought. Don't get me wrong, I can be as curious as the next person, but it's not actually important to me. So, surprise, surprise... Douglas is a douche. Maybe realising she'd made a terrible mistake trusting him can make Joy question her judgement when it comes to her son. Fun to see Geoff so open. Very open with Helen. But happiness has a tendency to burst free.

Hmm... I'm wondering what could possibly be so terrible about Lu's parents to get Fire so worked up? But little secrets can be the stuff of dreams. I'm glad to see Jonas happy, albeit confused and bewildered. But what's to be expected when he keeps company like that? I'm sure he'll have a very nice (if strange) life with Lu. And his friends.

I don't like the sound of Ben going off on that inquiry on his own. I hope he at least tells Rush about it. Giving away information like that could be a way to taunt the police. Clay is a good person. Pity not more people can see past the surface. -
Good for Noël having his priorities straight. Diarmad has his work cut out for him if they are to ever be reunited. Maybe he'll learn from this and he an even better king. I'm glad Diarmad survived of course. He's not a bad man. Just a wee bit dense.

Scary to meet a potential future if not for the Captain and his crew. Kohen probably reacted instinctively, making connections he wasn't even aware of. I hope Danie finds a good place with them and isn't seen as too much of a specimen to examine.

It's hard to lose people you care about and it takes time to reach a point where you can appreciate the memories instead of feeling overwhelming sadness. With some loss you struggle to get there. Taking time to face those emotions is rough but necessary.

A happy end or perhaps more accurately beginning. Interesting Nassau had doubts about Zhihao and not Su Yin. But a boy who has been sacrificed would feel all else in a bonus. So why feel fear?

Asking for what you want and need can be difficult. Good for Su Yin that he managed to overcome his fear. I agree - what would kinkiness be wrong if it equals happiness?

Nice to see Su Yin start to find his place in Hell, even when so much is new and unknown. I too think many underestimate him and his strength. Of course he'll change. Any relationship changes you and I imagine the one Su Yin is in would do it even more. If it's corruption? I doubt it. More an opening to possibilities.

Sure, it must be easier from a position of power, but such a position also comes with a rough environment many times. Now, it wasn't such a big deal.
