  1. I haven't really realized it myself yet.
  2. OK, this is something I never thought I would ever get to say. But my book Thaw is published! Yes, my little story has been turned into a real book. I'm excited beyond words! Of course, none of this would have been possible without a lot of help from the best friend anyone can ever hope to have. The ever amazing @JohnAR has guided me through the entire process and all I had to do was follow instructions and enjoy the journey. And don't you just love the cover? So if you have a craving for your own book copy of Thaw, check it out here (paperback is also available): https://www.amazon.com/Thaw-Hot-Cold-Book-1-ebook/dp/B07F7LV2VM/ref=la_B07F871B1H_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1530731801&sr=1-1

    Chapter 38

Hmm... I feel this was sort of easy. Sure, the Cap and his crew are clever. Still, there could very well be some surprise lurking. If not, I hope they can get on that ship and take off. Though I agree with Kohen. Where to?

    Chapter 9.1

Simon will hopefully get some useful information about his new self. Should be good to have someone to talk to about vamp stuff. And I'm not sure why he would find the idea of getting involved with Kitryn so out of the question. They seem a really good match.
  5. I use a variety of methods. Usually, the writing of the actual story is done on laptop, sitting in the corner of my couch in silence. Can't be distracted by music. I did write a story on a tablet once, but the tap-tap-tap is not fast enough for my taste. For ideas and brainstorming, I tend to use paper if it's a more intense inpiration that has struck. It turns into a mess with crossed out sections, arrows and underlining, but I can for the most part still figure out what I meant. For short ideas or spur of the moment scenes that pop into my head, I use my phone memo. More organised plotting of a story, as for what chapter wil deal with which scenes etc, I use a word document.
  6. I must admit to crying last night when I read this news. I can't even imagine how their families and friends must feel.

    Amanda Reynolds

If it's inferred, I'll put away the pitch fork and just use my imagination! I think they will have a more fulfilling life if Amanda turns down the job and accepts Carl instead.
  8. So relieved Christian made it this far. Must be so confusing to struggle simply to wake up.
  9. Not all heroes wear capes. Some whisk cream... They chose the wrong dessert shop to protest in front of.
  10. To be who you are, without fear, should be for all. Too bad it still isn't.

    Out of Bounds

You got that from a dictionary? Wow! I never would have guessed. Sounds like a thing I'd like to try.
  12. Sneaky friend! But a little nudge in the right direction is what you need sometimes.

    The story

I so hope Josh has an eyeopening Pride and realizes life can be very different. Plan for his future as an adult.
  14. Very cute! I hope they have many dates in their future!

    Sun Camp

The tribunal really should come up with a verdict of joining forces to deal with what is actually behind the disappearing people.

    Equis Camp

Hmm... Phuong was so curious about the crisscrossing attractions in the group, so maybe she's not against the idea of poly? No need for Marcus to be into her or vice versa. Rhava could be the focal point.

    Heading In

No confrontation up front. That's good. Maybe there is an acceptable explanation for their actions?

    Some Bad News

Scary to be facing so much magic and not know what is going on. They'll need all their cunning and specialities to solve this puzzle.

    Heading Out

Nice set up for the story! Looks like they are in for quite an adventure.

    Trying Times

Way to go, Eric! Not giving up shows how much he's changed. It'll be fun to see him browsing the net. I hope the dark corners don't scare him off...

    Chapter 37

I sure hope the invaders don't have any nasty surprises in store. Because Captain and Kohen really could do with some... ehum... mobility exercises...
  22. Well, I may be a bit weird (in this aspect too...) since I didn't really have much anxiety before posting my first story here. There was some, of course, and I remember posting a status update saying something like "I did it!". So mostly I was giddy and happy at having written something for fun, for my own pleasure. Words are my profession, and while legaleeze is very different from writing a story, I have always been rather confident in my ability to write in a way that conveys my message. My worry was that I, as a Swede, would write something that no one here on an American website could connect to. More than once, I've realized my outlook on things is quite different. So I thought my first attempt at a story (a prompt) could very well leave readers indifferent. That would be the worst. To have no reactions. I have no problems with negative critique, but coming across as bland would be such a let down. Since this first attempt, I've noticed I tend to go a bit overboard when describing certain conflicts happening to my characters (one scene in Frost was rewritten and toned down severely and still readers wanted to hang Lucas). I try to listen to these reactions, so I can stay within the realm of the probable. Still, I doubt I'll end up writing conflict free stories. I like the friction too much.
  23. Sometimes, you need to get things spelled out for you plainly to take action. You can only lie to yourself for so long. Oh! The meaning of flowers hadn't even crossed my mind! Interesting. Maybe my subconscious was working here? Or I just named one of the few flowers I actually know...? And I think Ethan is right. Something is very wrong here... I'd like to think Darren found Ethan's nerdiness attractive in the beginning, but it could be the money... Not sure. I guess when I read the challenge being about a turningpoint, my mind went to the dramatic. It could have been something sweeter, but I tend to write about conflict (to a varying degree).I just find them more interesting. That was something I wanted to be the big difference; how Ethan trying to make things better ends up knowing the truth, while his apathy and indecisiveness string them both along for more of this unhealthy relationship. Maybe it's because I really don't like people not taking charge of their lives.

    Road not taken

And that is hard to do sometimes. You can see the writing on the wall, but you choose to ignore it. It does appear a bit one-sided, doesn't it? Ethan is trying to explain his proposed change of destination, but someone has gotten used to getting what he wants by complaining... And I think that's pretty much how he is in this relationship. Not the biggest contributor.

    Ups and Downs

Andy actually daring to offer a hug and Eric being willing to try it says so much about how far they've come together. Listening and keeping an open mind. Hugs aren't for everyone. I think that talk was like a mental hug for Eric.
