I love to see the pack from the outside like this, with a fresh prespective on all of them. Rob is ( or was) holding his own, despite being outnumbered and outmuscled. This chapter had me in tears at first and then smiling. So sickening to think some people treat their kids as awful as that. Then perhaps it's a good thing Adrian and his mother are finally free of that man. Now, Corey just has to sort things out with Brett. Clear the air and maybe regain the friendship.

Corey is right. Life will never be the same again. It never is. Every day, things change, sometimes little, sometimes big. Given how Liam feels about Alek, he should try the honest 'friends and more?' approach. To just close the door could lead to all those feelings getting bottled up and causing misery. Since I have difficulties coming up with snappy and suitable titles, I must admit this one made me giggle with glee as I thought of it. Very satisfying on its own.

Can Corey forgive Brett for his confusion? Perhaps. Given their history, I would hope he can. They have a special bond in their friendship. Good that Corey talked to Adrian. He still needs to be careful though. Adrian is a mess emotionally right now. Adding more could be disastrous. Done right they can support each other.

I can't even get angry at this. Rory in this universe is so far from CE, my brain doesn't connect the two. Like when you are so high up, you lose the feel for the height. Douche bags are all too common for me to waste my energy. To have the wolves be bad guys on top of snubbing Colt in the nanoverse feels almost like an attempt to rationalise condemning them to death (in fantasy land, but still). If they are all true assholes ( ), 'Colt' is forgiven for making them go to their deaths.

Facts are funny. They are perhaps 'true', but can be used in different ways. One is to see them as without exception, take them to heart and turn them into a self-fullfilling prophecy. That way you only see what you want to see, choose accordingly and miss all the randomness that is life. Another strategy can be to use them as a shield. If you know the odds are against you, perhaps it's easier to accept how shitty life can be and not feel screwed over by Fate. To surrender to the in many aspects arbitrary chain of occurrences that is life is scary and disheartening at times. However, logic onlygets you so far...
