It was heartwarming to see just how deeply Bill has touched his neighbours even without noticing himself. Just being there for everyone. I'm glad they took the opportunity to show him how much he means to them. For him to meet Tommy will hopefully connect him with that part of the family. I think Bill and Tommy can both learn from each other.

Hmm... Those were some pretty tough questions. If the story had been told from Dana's POV I would probably have said he should get as far away from Ivan as possible. Nor a good combo, those two, really. Both recovering from the past. However, as the story unfolds through Ivan's eyes, it's pretty clear he's come a very long way from dealing with his past. Just that he actually told Dana right away was strong evidence of that. Still, they will both need to be vigilant of any relapse moments on either side. They could both trigger each other in dangerous ways. I hope for the best for them. Perhaps because I do believe people can change. For real.

Good to see Kraig take up some space and speak his mind. Even if I guess the claws were a bit of a surprise for him...

Hmm... Does Toby have a secret...? That complete disinterest from the police seems mighty suspicious. But I guess Daniel has other things on his mind for the moment.

But what you described in your original post wasn't simply poor planning, but something else. That lack of joy over preparations should be observed, so you can avoid it next year. OK, Dr Phil... Ehum... Dr Puppi will shut up now. LOL

This story made me think. So good work! A very sad ending even if it ended with the word hope. Perhaps the state of the world makes that a very struggling light... I feel the gods weren't much godlike when they couldn't even tell right from wrong, true from false. They seemed to be fumbling just as much as the humans are. Not very much guidance to be had from them. It seemed a bit lopsided to me that the men could live indefinitely without women while the women went feral without a man... Or rather their blood. It would have been a good balance to the story and not so 'one supreme villain' if the men had a need or a weakness too. The threat of far off extinction sure, but something else would have provided a balance. Just a thought.

Or you simply remember the feeling from after and realize Christmas will happen, perfect preparation or not and it will be fun. Choose the things you really feel give you joy and skip the rest of those musts.

Did the little prank played by the youngsters lead Anu to meet someone who actually touches his soul? Such a coincidence. And now they have eternity to find out just how strong their connection is. How will Anu's other bed mates react? Sob seems relaxed but Horus could get jealous. Is it wise to anger the son of Osiris? Even for the god of the dead...?

Reading your heartwarming story made me think of how I found a group of people to share my inner self with. Instead of FA it's GA. We all need a group, a herd, a place to belong. Alvin finally found his. I think I found mine too.

This holiday can get so hyped up it's ridiculous. Just remember that behind those perfect exteriors, things are never what they seem. And if they were? So what! You deal with your troubles as best you know how. It's not worth beating yourself up over not being 'perfect'. When you are a wreck due to all musts around Christmas, guess what? No one will thank you. Harsh, but true. So look out for yourself and be kind to yourself. Your family could celebrate Christmas, right? There was food. And gifts. And a family. As for your daughter... I think you have to talk honestly with her. Explain the realities of life, that money is tight. She's old enough to hear it. Guess what happened to my hubby's gift? The box was empty! Yes, empty! Someone had removed the thing and neither me nor the staff noticed. What could we do byt laugh? I'll have to see if I can get a refund or if they'll think I'm trying to trick them...

So finally (for real)! No nosy family members holding them back. And they got a puppy first thing... Well, why wait? No time like the present, although I suspect Jian is right. It will be an interesting homecoming. Now they start building a life. Not always easy, even with endless love and attraction.

With such a supportive brother Eric can just enjoy his life as sweet as it is at the moment. Nice chapter!

I met a very special friend through a story. It spoke to me in a way no other story had before. Amazing and slightly terrifying to think we would never have met if it wasn't for GA and his writing.

A great ending to a great calendar! Regardless of beliefs, the true meaning of Christmas is to share friendship and love with everyone, and try to include those who may be lonely. Adam did a wonderful thing, seeing a 'solution' to a problem that is really only in our minds. Because when it comes down to it, we just want to belong but also be allowed to be ourselves. I hope everyone has a great few days now, with lots of good food!

Very fun read about these gods. I love Egyptian mythology and through this story it comes alive. They come alive, even thought Anubis is the god of the dead. LOL

Hmm... I'm wondering who's story this is...? A very sweet tale of a first love (really, I think it was his first, since Simon wasn't very in tuned to his wants and needs) that survives the years. It's not always easy, as Lee discovered, but it is interesting to share something for so long with a person.

Jamie's mom was so much fun! Sweet to see them being so open with each other. WIth someone like that in his corner, Jamie should be able to handle most anything. Even an ex coming out as an s...
