This made me think of Colt.
-
Hmm... I'm beginning to wonder what really has happened to Emmett. Why is he so hesitant to have a relationship with someone he actually cares for? OK, he's worried about losing their friendship, but this seems to go much deeper than that. We've had no mention of previous hurt. On the contrary, Emm seems to have had a loving family, good friends and a successful school/work life so far. To leave Jian like that is not good. Jian must be feeling crushed, having made his gamble while Emm is in bear mode and he lost. This chapter was called 'Talk' but they haven't. Not really. Next needs to be 'Talk, seriously'.

Door#3 - The Candy Man Can
Puppilull commented on Aditus's story chapter in Door#3 - The Candy Man Can
Waiting for toffee or fudge to be done is alays a guessing game... Even with a thermometer it's so difficult to know. We made fudge several years in a row and always forgot one ingredient (vinegar for some reason). It turned out OK anyway, but it made us laugh like crazy everytime. Oh and knäck is sooo good! I'm guessing Adi this time. So hard to tell, but it's fun to try. -
Ok, then my guess now for no 3 being Adi could be plausible.
-
Of course! No Christmas without edible goats...

This showed up on my Facebook feed (liked by a friend...). Fits my (hair brained) theory of Colt's inner struggle to come. Or already begun.

Sure you don't...

I'll keep flooding you with Swedish traditions... The kids going at it, baking ginger snaps in traditional shapes (people, pigs, goats, cats, horses and of course hearts). Although, the minute after they started freeforming and started doing butts...
-
We're a weird bunch!
-
Isn't that the most important? To be together, snug and safe? Even my kids want that most of all, just have time to spend without having to rush off somewhere. The lodge will still be there another time. I'm guessing Aditus here.
-
That's the thing about holidays, isn't it? All the flooding memories, both good and bad. An important message to focus on the good and let them carry you through the bad. Besides, a good cry never hurt anyone. As for writer, I'd say Valkyrie. Maybe the bay window is tricking me or the piping hot coffee...

Well, Zac... You should feel like shit because you act as it. But I guess it's only to be expected. He never did get over Adrian and it's all too easy to be blinded by desire. Still, being asked to wait on the street hidden like some cheap secret when Austin's mom is all kinds of cool... That should tell him a thing or two.
-
A very nice way to reconnect their bond... Just a moment to be simply Kraig and Deke.

My heart went out to Austin in this chapter. How many times has he been disappointed in people, thinking they would be friends only to be abandoned? He's acting so hurt and suspicious. Very sad to see someone scared to open up even the slightest. Now more than ever I hope Adrian doesn't put any weird ideas in Zac's head. Perhaps they won't be boyfriends, but they should definitely be friends. Good for Billy to listen to himself. Perhaps the first time is built up to mean a bit too much in my opinion, but you should decide for yourself and not be pressured into it. Their parents have done a great job at raising these boys.

Gruesome business, soul collecting... It seems improbable that Lahja will ever find his own way to do such a task. A very big leap from angel to demon in that respect. Also, I think he should ponder his question more than the actual answer...
-
Oh no... Now that was not a nice ending! How will I be able to handle the suspense until next week?!? Gah!!
-
LOL That's another Swedish tradition... This year it lasted only a few hours. Then a security guard had to pee and that was that...
-
LOL I don't know about believable, but I'm glad it was at least not totally outrageously fantastical. As a sucker for romance, of course there had to be romance. When I've read the other stories, most were on the sad side, so perhaps my 'little' story lightened the mood somewhat. We'll see if inspiration strikes again... Thanks for reading and reviewing!

Yay Zac! Just don't do something stupid now, like let Adrian mess with you. I'd hate to see Austin hurt. He's such a sweet guy.

It's paper and a fairly simple one. We have another in metal (bronze colored I guess). They come in all colors now. When I grew up, they were almost always red or orange (for some reason). And yes, it's an office building contributing to the festive spirit...!

Another Swedish advent tradition. Stars everywhere! And as I wrote this, the song Starboy came on... LOL

O. Henry Short Story Prompt 3 - Hour Of The Dogman
Puppilull commented on Defiance19's story chapter in O. Henry Short Story Prompt 3 - Hour Of The Dogman
Very true how ordinary life can lose it's appeal if you're not careful. Drifting apart is all too easy and any relationship needs work, no matter what Hollywood or fairytale tell us. So I guess Sam is stuck with Wilmer. Like that one uncle we all have. A bit grumpy, not very nice actually, but family nonetheless. And once in a while, that uncle tells us a truth or two. -
Seems to me Jian is patiently waiting for Emmett to wake up, for real. He's just taking it easy, slowly hauling in his catch but being extra careful not to break the line. And Emmett is just flopping about, almost not even aware of how hooked he is. I'm glad it was a dream, because that's not the first time Emmett should treat Jian to. And preferably there will be no angry moose.

A tradition here in Sweden. We light one candle each Sunday until Christmas. And then we argue about if it's OK to light the candles everyday or only on Sundays. Also if it's OK to replace or move a candle to achieve the correct slope...
