I love Marty! He is taking care of Liam mind, body and soul. His wise counsel regarding Liam's love life is solely for Liam's benefit which is as it should be. I can almost - almost being the operative word - concede that Nathan might not be the right guy for Liam in the long run. But, just because there weren't any sparks immediately - some fires do take a while to catch on - doesn't mean the fire won't grow to a wondrous glow. In the very least, Liam will have himself a new and good friend in Nathan. Nicely done Lit.

Loved the ending. Jason and Shane are safe and happy and thanks to Viktor, their future is financially secure. Yay! The only thing that could have made it better is if Viktor and Ramon could have remained a part of their lives. Then again, they have managed to get close, so maybe there is hope for a meet up in their future. I wouldn't put it past Viktor to pull that off somehow.

Straight from your where Ripley will live forever. Lovely acknowledgement to our furry friends.

Love that interaction between the boys and the homophobe at the end. It shows that their relationship is more than just satisfying the physical needs of a couple of horny teenagers. Right?

Should have known that witch of a "grandmother" would concoct a scheme like this. Now, I really wish Alan had not kept Lisa in the dark about what was going on. This might have been avoided if he had. I hope when the truth comes out that Mrs. Lynton is brought up on charges or sued for slander and is never permitted to see the boys again. Grrr.... Now that I've got that out of my system, poor Peter, I hope this gets resolved quickly. It will, won't it? Oh, and Alan? Call Lisa!!

Marty moving to Toronto: good. Nathan and Liam texting:good Nathan coming over for pizza and movie night: even better. Alek calling and unsettling Liam: bad, very bad. Go away Alek! Now that that is out of my system, great chapter Lit. I really like how you've presented the loyal and committed and nothing will break them apart 'relationship' that Liam and Marty have.

C S R Discussion Day: The Pledge By Mikiesboy
Reader1810 commented on Cia's blog entry in Gay Authors News
I do have a question specifically regarding The Pledge. After reading it and leaving an initial review, I got to thinking about Lord William's motives for wanting to overthrow humans and rule the world. Tristan had it easy living in the world because he had always led a simple life. He was never in charge of anyone or anything, not even himself in his early days, I don't think. William, on the other hand was a Lord. Was living in the shadows and having to give all that up as the world changed, his undoing? Was he looking to get that prestige - and all that went with it - back? It can't be easy going from being "the boss" to being a regular joe. -
C S R Discussion Day: The Pledge By Mikiesboy

I never really liked poetry, then tim came along. I don't pretend to understand the rules of writing the different forms, but the words? They always get me to thinking. As for tim's stories? I haven't met one yet that I haven't liked. They vary greatly in their content, which is a testament to his boundless imagination. A couple of examples of his varied repertoire are Soul Food and Miss Silver Pretty-Pink-Toes. Thank you for sharing your words with us tim. PS: Loved the interview. -
Brilliant as always. Salmagundi: what a great word! And this definition is kinda cool too https://g.co/kgs/xgKaej As always, nicely done.

As for what B said?

Marty...love him! Everybody should be so lucky to have a friend like him. Still team Nathan and I think I'm liking him even more because of his hospital visits. As for Liam thinking he saw Alek? Maybe he did as in, Alek is lurking around the hospital hoping he will can see Liam again so he can explain himself... I say, sorry Alek, there is no having your cake and eating it too as the saying goes. Course, maybe Alek wasn't really there at all. You can't blame Liam for still having thoughts and/or feelings because he had high hopes for him and Alex as a couple. Putting those feelings in the past is going to take some time, I would think.

Why am I getting the feeling that Phoenix's father is more than just a bandit? And what was the reason for his banishment? Hmm...The plot has indeed thickened.

Alright, Toby shouldn't have run ahead, but better he take the knocks instead of Daniel. I am a wee bit surprised that it was Oliver that ran to Daniel rather than Carlos, but maybe he is the better handler of firearms? Hmm...

Well, gee now I don't know what to think. To go from wanting one of those cartoon safes that are forever falling from the sky land on Carl's sneering head to feeling somewhat bad (not really though) that his love for Ivan is unrequited...or is it? Ivan seems kinda curious now if you ask me. You've orchestrated quite a quandary, Sasha. That you have...

Gary, just like our tim, you have an incredible way with words. wish I could make it better for you, my friend. xoxo

I wish I could make all your worry and fear disappear forever, but I can't. What I can and will gladly do is send you the biggest cyber hug a mind can fathom. There is a definition of fathom that is rather apropos, I think. Fathom is from Middle English fadme, from Old English fæthm"outstretched arms tim, even though it seems that your mind is weary, your ability to express yourself, is strong and powerful. As always, nicely done.

Very wise words, Carlos. Since I have family living in the U.S. - they are U.S. citizens btw - I hope that the next four years will see only good things come to the United States and it's people.

Nathan , Nathan, Nathan! Yay! As for that other guy? He made his choice and now he has to live with the consequences. No having his cake and eating too, I say. As for Liam's injuries? I hope nothing will come of it, but then again, maybe it will mean he will need a medically trained individual to be his caregiver upon his release from hospital. I wonder who might meet that criteria? Why, Nathan, of course. Okay, going to stop my ramblings now and just say great chapter Lit. Oh, and I like Nathan, I'd say he's a keeper, for sure.
