I'm not sure why Blake's parents want him back. I'm also not sure why Blake has to go with them. To say they have not been abusing Blake is an ignorant assumption by Eli. Blake's mother did physically abuse him, both parents mentally abused him, sent him to conversion therapy and finally abandoned him. That should be enough to at least get Blake back with Aunt Marie and Uncle Steve. I fear for his life. IMO, Blake's parents will continue his abuse with the knowledge that it will drive Blake to commit suicide. They will probably rejoice that another sinner has been sent to hell when Blake dies. I also think that Seth's mom is an evil bit** who doesn't give a damned about Seth. Mothers bonding closer to their daughters than their sons is an urban myth and a very lame excuse for all the torture she has put Seth through. I can't believe she demanded that Seth give Stacy an apology for all the things that Stacy did and blamed on Seth. Seth is protecting his mom from the truth, but I honestly don't understand why with all the sh*t his mother has put him through. I would have shown the pictures. Stacy can rot in h*ll for all I care. She has earned an eternal stay there. Seth's mom doesn't even understand it was Stacy who got everyone arrested at the party.

Jed's apology to Kyan was difficult for Jed, but something Kyan needed to know. Danya's attitude to her younger brother is difficult for me to understand. It is also difficult for me to understand that Jed and Trudy as adults felt they couldn't handle the situation. Turning the responsibility over to Perry and training him to sacrifice his happiness for Danya's was unbelievably wrong. Both parents owe Perry a huge apology as well as Jessica and Charlie. I do hope that the Kids United Strike gets Kyan off his duff to battle for the man he loves.

Hi All! Sorry for being so out of things. It has been very hectic this week. I need some sleep, but wanted to say Hi! to all. I will check in with you all tomorrow! Have fun and take care!

Hi Albert! I love Billy Joel and his music. The opening bars of this song would make great background music as I read Bearpaws. Thanks!

Hi Page! Loved your recipe for a great hamburger. Getting the right cut and then having ground up is the key. Hope you and yours are having a good week!

Everyone talks about the weather, usually complaining. The guys at the dock that ship bespoke weather have some great ideas. Too bad the management is stuck in the past. Our group of shipping heroes is out to wage war on the competition. Skillfully written with a lot of laughs, this short could only be better if there was a sequel detailing the coming battles. Choice reading if you want something fun for grey, unsettled days.

Loved the story and the concept of bespoke weather. Competition, sales down, industrial theft and finally a declaration of weather war! Merryweather needs to modernize and diversify! Add some color to their products. The guys manning the docks have better ideas than the management. What a fun story Northie!

A surreal, silly and whimsical nightmare for fans of potatoes, adeptly written and stuffed with humor. This is a delightful morsel for the mind.

I appreciate how the history of the pack and family was presented. It surprised me that the families are not traditional with the kids having different biological parents who are related to their current parents. The fact that they don't know they were gifted to cousins was nicely handled and explained. Shamus is wise and experienced, but it is great that he realizes some things, like arranged marriages, are old fashioned and need to be changed. Wyatt seems like a possible new love interest to Connor, although I'm still rooting for Dakota. I do wonder why Wyatt's family has moved to Harve.

I'm also reading the story that @drpaladin mentioned and think you would like it @Bill W.

Hi Spike! We had a great day. Last night Aod sister, her girlfriend, and his older sister's daughter came for dinner. I went to bed about midnight, but the others were up much later. The nice thing is that everything was cleaned up when I woke up in the morning. Today was laid back and I got caught up on my reading. Hope you have a great day today young brother!

Besides the slow burns and great descriptions, I also love how you create two characters like Lucas and Jubal, Coy and Boone, or many others in your stories who are complex and yet very complimentary in their skills, attitudes, needs, and wants. None of these characters are the same, but unique to each story. You have great talent my friend.

Hi Albert! Hope you and Steve have a wonderful day!

Mac is making a speedy advance in skills and proves it when the 'skinwalker' shows up for the cliffhanger. Changing into Bigfoot like Devin did was great. Since skinwalkers are very uncommon in this area after they were ejected, I suspect something else is in play. I also enjoyed how Mac was able to change into an 8x8 point buck. I'm surprised he did no damage walking around with a rack that size. Loved the comments in this chapter too.

Greg and Scott sure know a lot about business, but I will assume it is because of their fathers. James is putting a lot of trust in a young man who hasn't even left high school. I think that this will put a lot of pressure on Greg. I know the pressure of working full-time and university full-time will leave little time for play. It does make an interesting twist to the old son-in-law/family business hack. At least we know that Greg and Scott have true love. It also leaves me with a lot of questions. If James wants Greg to take over the family business, what is Scott being groomed to do? Does this have anything to do with the way Chris and his father address Scott and James? Interesting chapter!

Well said, @FanLit I definitely agree with your analysis of Lucas. I also think that Vincent might have been a lot like Lucas in this respect. Jubal does need patience, and staying the winter with Lucas will provide the time and peaceful atmosphere for Lucas to help heal Jubal.

Jubal and Lucas make a great team together. Since they are different in attitude and skills, they don't have any conflict over who will do what. They quickly and calmly work hard to complete the new roof. I do like the idea of a loft over a complete second floor. Since they both have things to heal from, they both know when to comfort the other, and when to be silent in their support. I love the slow burn, but wonder what kind of wind will come to fan the embers into flames. Great chapter, Gary!

Hi Albert! Hope your weekend went well!
-
Pierre will be so overjoyed when is finally adopted into a family that has so much love. I love how he uses the peanuts to share his love with the other kids. It was very sneaky planning to make sure Pat is away from the Home so the apartment can be finished.
-
Hi Albert! How are you and Steve doing this weekend? Any fun plans?
-
Hi Dugh! I hope you get better fast once the chemicals are out of your body. I know you love what you do, and must be frustrated that the infusion treatment has kept you from being your usually active self. Take care, my friend.
-
Hi Page! How's your weekend so far? Did you get to go to your friend's ranch yet?
-
Who are you calling crazy, Clo? I love tomatoes sliced or in the sauce as well as olives on my pizzas. They are both fruits!
-
Hi Man! You got my mouth watering over the meal. Aod and I have to go to the store later. I'll see if I can persuade him to cook green chicken curry. I also hope you are having a productive and/or fun weekend.

Hi Clo! How's my favorite fairy today? I do envy those here who can buy a variety of different teas. Most stores carry a few brands and limited varieties of each. The only tea I can brag about is the one I can get from a friend whose family grows tea for export to China. My friend's father harvests new leaves from the baby tea plants to process for a limited group (family and family friends). This tea is priced about the same a gold. I only get it once a year, but glad to be in the group that does.
